For years, we've had trouble with yellow jackets dive-bombing us on our deck in the late summer and fall. I recently caught a YouTube video explaining how to make a trap that uses apple juice mixed with 1/2 tsp. borax (unscented), a few melon chunks and a strip of raw bacon to attract wasps, yellow jackets and hornets. They feed and bring borax traces back to their nest which eventually eliminates the colony. The trap does not attract or harm honeybees (the highly valued pollinators). Just received this borax, so too soon to say how well it will work. Fingers crossed! (PS: Will also see if it will whiten laundry)

cleaning out ants from dishwasher

Clothes are cleaner and textureis great.

Really like using borax as a laundry booster for stains on clothes. I just add half a cup to a load. Also used it for sugar ants (2 TBSP borax with equal amount of sugar and quarter cup water in a small container placed in area like around garbage can) within a couple days ants were gone. Note: Just make sure your pets can't get to it.

Mix borax and sugar onto cotton balls. Voila! Ants carry borax home to mother. Kills the nest every time. May take a couple treatments along ant pathways.
