Compatible to Intelifil (IF-SM-KDF010) 9.75"x2.75" 15,000 Gal 1 lb KDF-55/GAC Carbon - Chlorine & Heavy Metal Reduction - Filter

I have an Alkalinbe Water filter & "thought" it was removing Heavy Metals. Found out it didn't. This is the 3rd or 4th time I've purchased this KDF-55 Filter. I ordered a free water Testing Kit from Environmental Protection Agency (EPA in my City). Sent a sample of my Reg. Tap Water. The results came back stating specifically that the testing demonstates "acceptable" levels of Lead is allowed in the City Water. However, they did state that heavy metals could also be caused from plumbing pipes, lead from certain water lines, fixtures, etc. I then purchased for the 1st time the KDF-55 Filter. Attached it to my Alkaline Water filter, took a sample of my water through the KDF-55, sent in this 2nd sample and the results came back Heavy Metals Free. The EPA then wanted to send someone out to my apt, to test my water. They couldn't understand how I could be getting water free of Heavy metals. I never responded back to them.

So far I'm very happy with it. Hopeful that it last as long as the one before.Update: now 7/23 it lasted and is still fine but going to replace now.
