A Happy Ending
I'm giving this a 4 simply because I feel like I missed something in the story. At one point both the hero and heroine felt that a relationship would not be wise, even though they knew that they were very attracted to each other; then suddenly they were happy to be in a relationship. Somewhere I missed the transition. It's a nice love story that takes place in Greece between a teacher and a doctor, one who no longer believes in Happily Ever After's and the other who wants a Happily Ever After in this little village in the mountains. Meanwhile the village has turned against the doctor and is trying to make her leave - what a blow to her Happily Ever After - but she remains determined, and in the end she finds just what she came looking for.

Possibly one of the worst books I've ever read
Thank heaven this book was short -- I could get through it quickly to give it an honest review! Oh my gosh, the whole story takes place in about 5 days, the two main characters don't get along the first day and then suddenly they're in love and then engaged in just a couple of days! The whole village hates the woman and within 5 days they all come together after a centuries old feud and are all happy and just love the woman! The main character, Stavros, goes from not believing in God to having a "deep, abiding faith" in about 4 days. No, first reviewer, you did not miss a transition, this is exactly what happened! It's just so stupid. I mean, I like a light read sometimes, but this felt like the author just sat down and wrote it out in one night and published it! It felt very rushed! The premise was good, and thank heaven there weren't any spelling errors which are so common, but the author really should have drawn out the story and made it a little more realistic. I have absolutely no desire to read any more of this author's work. Sorry, but part of being a Christian is being honest.
