CHEAP FLIMSY PLASTIC
I'm pissed, when I read solid, I expect SOLID, cameras being the most important part of SECURITY, these deals are cheap looking , made with cheap plastic, they weight nothing, SOME CHEAP SCREW IS HOLDING THE CAMERA,THE STEM FROM BASE TO CAMERA, IS SOME CHEAP HOLLOW FLIMSY PLASTIC, I seen other people's pics and their cameras look nothing like what I got, the stem holding the camera is solid metal, mine was a joke, I honestly thought I got a toy even toys are made with solid plastic, these deals are flimsy wind, a ball, someone with a stick hits them and down they go, I did not bother connecting this cheap garbage, waste of my time, oh and the supposed face of the camera guess what is made off, yup CHEAP CLEAR PLASTIC, they feel like the cheap plastic lights you buy at the dollar store, and look like them dummy cheap plastic cameras you find in some stores,if you want to use them in door go right ahead, but outdoor the suns heat will make the cheap plastic crack absolutely disappointing, I'm sure more reviews are payed, it's impossible people will think these cameras are SOLID, NOTHING SOLID ABOUT THEM.. CHEAP THINGS GOING BACKNever given a bad review but this one got my blood boiling, I believe they send me some cheap replacement because of me being a female.

They've changed cameras
This system came with 24 ir lights when I first bought it. The body of the camera was metal, the lens cover was glass. Now you get 12 ir lights, cheap plastic body and flimsy plastic lens cover. The cameras were what made this product great. Now, it's junk. You cannot purchase the older cameras any longer. The app for remote viewing is a joke. It is constantly blocking you from signing in, if you do get signed in, it boots you constantly and you have to close the app and reopen it going through the entire nightmare of signing in again. On top of that, in the year that I have had this system, they have changed the app twice. Of course the only way you know this is when you can't get into it for days/weeks and finally remove it and reinstall in hours of fixing the bug. Then you find it's no longer available and you have to download a different app. And no, it's the same interface and works no better. The program for using it on a PC is even worse as far as the interface goes, but you can actually search old video and speed up playback, unlike in the app.I loved the cameras that originally came with this system, and as such, I was happy to deal with the horrible interface in the app, PC program and in the DVR itself. But in under a year two of the cameras have gone out and cannot be replaced. I did find a listing for the correct cameras and ordered, but received the junk ones instead. The seller has since updated that listing somewhat, mixing old and new camera info in it. So beware of you go looking for that camera, even if you find a listing for it, it probably isn't itThose cameras had excellent vision for both day and night which is why I stuck with it. But after losing 2 out of the 4 in less than a year, clearly they were not made to last. I shudder to think how long the newer version will hold up being even more cheaply made.Don't be fooled by the ratings on this one folks, most of them are for the older cameras, not this new junk.

Not the best but for the price you can't go wrong.
We installed these on the front of our house to deter or catch vandalism/break ins to our vehicles and overall they work great seems to record over 6 days of footage before looping. The night vision is so, so. You can see a car or person but if its dark there's not much detail and you're almost definitely not gonna get a clear face or plate. They are pretty clear in the daytime as far as faces and such, I do not think you'll get a plate number from any distance that isn't real close but you can clearly see people walking by, color and model of cars, etc. Overall for the price I'm satisfied, worst part was install, attics are awful, thumbs up to those who do that kinda work.CONCLUSION: Good camera system, good hardware, meh nightvision, not fun install depending on your dwelling. Good deal at the price. 4/5 Stars.
