Worked perfect for adjusting the motor on our go kart. Well made and easy to install for engine sprocket alignment. About 1/2” thick and made of what seems to be aluminum. Functions great for retro fits. Bolts that came with it lock into place with the plate and bolts provided worked perfect. cost and ease of use make this a great buy. Installed on a custom go kart using a predator 224 motor, 212 and 224 is the same block so works with both.

Picked this up to do a 196 swap onto my FRP GMB100. This does work and does fit with a torque converter installed. You just have to set the engine placement in accordance with your chain length to make sure everything has clearance. The rear pulley and belt on the TC sits about 1/8” away from the tensioner bracket and I have about the same clearance above the frame tube. The valve cover does clear the rear fender as well. They barely touch. The only thing I can’t speak to is the gas tank. I’m running a frame mouted tank so again, zero clearance issues. Overall, happy with the quality of the plate, finish looks good as well. Install is simple just make sure to mock everything up first. Great value for the money. Everything worked out great.

Does not fit all engines. Fits predator and predator clones yes. Specifically does not fit honda gx160. So not sure if it would work on other honda engines.

Solid and heavy-duty mount! The alignment was spot on, and it made the engine swap much more stable. It includes all the necessary hardware, which is a huge plus for a quick installation.

Good quality

I've never done an engine swap before, so I figured "adapter plate" meant it would bolt on without drilling. That was not the case. At first, I wondered what purpose an adapter plate served if not to avoid drilling, until I realized that it allows you to (re)position the engine anywhere on the X/Y axis with only one set of holes. If you do it the poor man's way of mounting the engine directly to the bike, you have no way of making adjustments without enlongating the holes with a grinder, which would eventually be required for tightening the chain. The adapter plate also raises the engine half an inch, which in my case was needed to clear the frame. The construction is a nice solid block of aluminum. The channels are cleanly cut and nicely sized for the provided bolts. The kit includes lock nuts instead of standard nuts which was a nice detail. Now that I understand what this plate is for, I'm very happy with the purchase. Update: I built two bikes with this kit and discovered both of them had stripped threads when I loosened the plate to adjust the engine position a few months later. The plate is fine but I can confirm that the included hardware is junk.
