Pfaltzgraff Maddy 12 Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 4

Love these dishes! I’ve needed to replace my old set of Pfaltzgraf dishes for some time since the finish wore off and the surface kept getting scratched. (They were about 30 years old) These look great and wash up well in the dishwasher.

I bought two sets for a wedding gift for my niece. The sets are SO beautiful that I want to buy them for myself too. They seem like great quality, heavier than I thought they would be. I was shocked at the price too for the quality.

Our dishes have not aged very well with 3 kids, and the main set does terrible in the microwave. As in, the dish gets hot, the food not so much. So I got these so my kids would stop complaining about how terrible our dishes are. Sad but true! I like the fact that the food is inset in the big dishes, as it makes it less likely for something to slide off. For us that happens frequently enough as our house has plenty of chaos. I saw another review where the lady actually measured the amount of "food" space with a ruler. For me that is more of a plus. These are really clean looking, and hopefully won't chip as easily as our other set. They are prettier than I thought they would be, and more solid feeling. They are a little shiny but not annoyingly so. Also, the raised designs on the side make the bowls easier to carry, which is another nice surprise. Same with the plates, gives your fingers just a little bit more to grab onto when carrying it over to the table [or wherever... admitting here that we do not always eat at the table!] But back to a key reason I bought these to begin with: microwave-ability. On that front I'd have to say these are a big step up from our previous dishes. They aren't as good as the few random bowls we have that are super microwave friendly and barely get more than slightly warm. But luckily, they do not suffer from the same problem as many of our other various dishes: the plate gets hot, the food not so much. The plates and bowls get pretty warm, but the food gets HOT. Nice. I'm delighted. They have leveled up my kitchen, and everybody is happy. Great buy.

These a great for everyday use and seem like they will hold up well. They are priced well and I feel like they are overall nice quality. There were a few blemishes and inconsistencies in the finish of a few plates, but I liked them enough still to order a second set. The second set was perfect so the quality might vary a bit from set to set. I am really pleased with them and feel they are a nice value for the style and quality.

I got this dishware set mostly because of how beautiful it looked in the photo, and I was not disappointed. The dishes are downright gorgeous in person! They are also easy to wash (less than ten minutes for the whole set) and microwave-safe. They have brightened up my kitchen considerably. They look like art pieces! Every meal feels a little bit more special now. If you have a large family or host guests very often, you might want to buy two sets, because there are only four place-settings in one box. Also, cups are not included. One of the bowls had a noticeable black scratch inside it, but since it is covered when there is food inside anyway, I don't think it detracts from the set very much. Props to the company; the dishes were very carefully boxed for shipping. No worries about them getting damaged in transit.

High quality plates, low quality shipping. We bought these to replace some bowls that broke in a previous set and, when these arrived, at least 4 pieces were already broken. They were only shipped in loose crate paper.

However, I was concerned as I feared something might be broken, but luckily every piece was in perfect condition. Upon lifting one of the plates, I noticed that it wasn't as thick as I had initially imagined. It's not heavy, but it's made from solid porcelain which works quite well for me. I could not spot any flaws in the pattern between the plates and bowls. The set boasts a glossy white finish that's not only attractive but also highly presentable for use on any occasion. I plan to reserve this set to be used during the holiday season for now. Then afterwards I will be using these regularly. They strike me as perfect for formal gatherings, where their elegant appearance will shine.
