Favourite perch
Finally bit the bullet and purchased this perch for my kittens scratch matShe loves it although I'm not sure how much longer she will be able to lie on it for as its rather small, my kitten is inly 14 weeks old and is already hanging off it.Sadly the perch also moves when she climbs up the post and on several times as almost fallen off as she reaches the top, secure it is notIt doesn't seem very comfortable however my kitten is spoilt for sleeping areas and prefers this one over the rest so for that it's a thumbs up.Price wise it's a bit expensive for what it isIt's easy to attach it just slids on, and as I said it easily slides off

A couple of problems
This is easy to fit and provides a wider platform for cats to sit on. The padded cushion is a nice addition. However, there are a couple of problems with this product.Firstly, it tended to slide around a lot. I thought about sending it back. Then I thought about gluing the perch on but didn't like the idea of using a permanent fixative in case I wanted to take the perch off later. I eventually decided to place small blobs of blu-tack (which is non-destructive) along three sides of the wooden top plate on the post and slide the perch across. This took a bit of firm pushing but the seal formed by the blu-tack has kept the perch stabilized. It doesn't move around anymore. The second problem was the velcro on the underside of the perch. The tabs were small and not up to the job of keeping the quilted pad in place. A couple fell off the first time I attached the pad to them. I removed the remaining tabs and replaced them with some larger, better quality ones that I already had at home. Since then the pad has stayed on.My cat really likes the post with the perch and, to be honest, it didn't cost much to make the alterations. However, while the concept is a good one the design isn't as efficient as it should be. I was able to work around the problems but I shouldn't really have had to. Knowing what I know now I probably wouldn't have bought it. It's not a bad product but it's not as good as it could have been either.

Cats love it
The only problem is the velcro holding the cushion on have already come off & needed some stronger two way tape to fix them back on.

Kitties lookout
My 2 little fur babies love this they sit on it so they can see everything around them they also lay down on it the only thing is the little sticky dots underneath what attach to the Velcro to hold it in place tend to come undone but not really a problem just stick it back again and it’s fine and I’m sure if needs be should be able to stick some new ones onI would definitely recommend this for your fur babies they will love you for buying it for them

Not fit for purpose, needs stronger attachments on seat and pad.
Fortunately I read the reviews first before purchase, but still was not prepared for what happened,Step 1 took out of packaging, step 2 attached pad to seating area,Step 3 attached them to the post,Then I took the seating area off to look for how it does not slide off,Then I gently pulled the velcro strap to mimic what I would do if I was going to wash the pad,21 seconds passed and the black velcro dot came away with the bit I would naturally have to take off to wash occasionally, I'd had the product in my house for approximately 5 mins and allready not fit to put on the cat post,Felt like the glue they used was no better than prit stick, sorry pritt stick other glues like that are available and are used for paper!I could not believe how quick it was not usable, shame on the designer or manufacturer!Improvements needed make seat area a little bigger, sort obvious issues with velcro attachments and I will recomend the product!I have left the seat off until I can fix it, I purchased the ultimate cat post because of the size of my maine coon who weighs in at 6.7 kg, it was advertised for bigger cats, so it's more than a little dissapoining that the seat is not fit for purpose when it arrives, and that many customers are having to make repairs to the product,Would like to say my cat likes the post, and he will like the seat when I make it fit for purpose! On closer inspection I can see why the top slides off without much use, a tiny piece of flimsy bending plastic is in place of what should be in my opinion be something metal or better still the perch should come as part of the origanal post and screwed down to post, I wonder why this is not so, 🤔 maybe they decided to divide post into portions to maximise there income, my opinion is the thing should be suitable, and safe for cats to use!!!!Congratulations this has been one of the quickest things to fall apart!5 minutes !!!! Should be a record! After fixing the seat pad issue and then finding the flimsy plastic I wonder why it was made so porely, my cat still can't use it as I'm having to come up with a plan for the plastic problem now, so dissapointed and unless you want to fix these problems.Further update, my cat now prefers the post without the seat section, so all that expense, stress, money, time and effort to make it safe!!!!!And he won't use it.I would not purchase, or recomend until they fix the issues.

100% recommended.
It’s a great product. My cats love it, it’s long enough for they to get a good stretch, unlike others in the market. The only reason I don’t give a 5 star in sturdiness is because you will need to glue the seat cushion, because the velcro straps are not enough.

Sturdy scratching area
Excellent quality scratching area but the pad on top is flimsily attached with Velcro tabs which are secured with tiny sticky pads and after the cat has jumped up a few times the Velcro tabs become unattached and the cat falls as she tries to gain grip. The tabs need attaching with a screw!

Good idea but needs better fixings
Cats love to sit on it but the top is held by very weak Velcro pads and has now after a few months completely stopped sticking down so it falls off. Had to use double sided tape to keep it on
