Moroso 89590 Tire Gauge Cover

This is the 2nd one I've bought, for a 2nd tire pressure gauge. Tight fit, but warmed it up and used soapy water and it installed much easier. Protects the product as advertised. Very happy.

Great way to protect your gauge - A MUST HAVE EXTRASome reviewers have commented on this being difficult to fit.The leaflet recommends use of silicon spray, however even easier with hot water.1- Bowl of HOT (not boiling but HOT), leave the cover sitting in the hot water for a good 5 minutes.2- Rub a few splashes of water around the gauge.3- Take the boot out of the water (keep it hot and wet).4- It will then slip straight on, just wipe off the water and then let it dry.JOB DONE !Just remember to use some thread tape or sealer when re-fitting the hose.

I'll state the obvious - it's too expensive and should have been included with the Moroso 89560 tire pressure gauge. However, if you don't buy it you'll wish you would have because the gauges have a light/cheap feeling to them (not the whole gauge - just the head). I topped off 8 tires on my two cars this evening, and for every tire I put the gauge down on the ground twice (to check before and after). If I didn't have this big rubber cover surrounding my gauge it would have been scratched up by now. The cover sticks out over the edge of the gauge head and protects your investment very well.Also, I listened to a previous reviewer and decided not to disassemble the gauge to put the rubber cover on. It was flexible enough to stretch over all parts of the gauge without causing any damage to the gauge or the cover, and no lubrication was needed.

Got this for my Measureman 2.5" OD PSI gauge. Left it in the Sun for 15 min to soften it up and it went right on. This rubber cover has a generous facial lip to protect the face of the gauge, and a nice edge on the back holding the gauge in place. Only wish it was available in other colors as I was expecting black but it's actually blue.

I have several different analog tire gauges, but my Moroso 60LB gauge is my absolute favorite and I've had it for about 3 years now. I always wondered why it didn't come with a protective rubber cover when new but when I stumbled across this part last week, I immediately snagged it up like it was the last one on the planet. Installation was simple and didn't require any heating, bowls, soap, grease, voodoo, prayers or anything. It just slides right over the hose and everything with a little persistence and patience. I've always been extra careful not to drop my gauge, but this rubber cover will increase my odds of not accidentally damaging it in the future. Great product!

I have an old moroso 0-100 psi analog gauge. The rubber housing cracked. The hose on it also cracked. I did not want to buy a new digital which would have been cheaper. I did not want to fuss with batteries when using a gauge once a month or less often. The rubber housing went on the gauge during a 105 degrees day. I was afraid I might break the gauge or the pressure on the metal housing might be too much. I was able to get it on with a struggle. I took the hose off and just put the rubber on the gauge. I then put a new hose on. The old hose had pipe dope on the threads of the gauge. overall it covers the gauge like the old one.
