I absolutely love our two Sony TVs: the XR-65X95K in the bedroom and the XR-75X95K in the main HT room. We watch a of of movies relaxing in bed, and once the sun goes down the only shortcoming of the TV comes to the fore: the remote is not backlit. When the lights are off it becomes a heck of a time to make adjustments, change channels, etc. I love the original remote's functionality, but only when I can see it. Researched a great bit looking for a backlit remote. Had Harmony remotes and while good remotes we preferred to size and control for our setup that the Sony remote gave us. Stumbled on this remote and the price was great and it was rated as compatible with our set. We ordered it and came in today. Easily paired it with the TV and our night blindness is over. Works perfectly: comes on when picked up and goes off once put down. So far controls every function just like to original remote. A great buy. We are very happy with the purchase.

Great remote, should have been the one Sony issued since you can’t use the included remote in the dark.

I bought this as an affordable backup remote and for its backlight feature. The backlight works well; however, no other functions of the remote work reliably. When they do work, there is a delay.

UPDATE 13-12-23:I exchanged this for another unit and the replacement works fine.I have the Sony XR-X90L TV. Using this remote, everything works well EXCEPT the back arrow key on the navigation section only works if I have my fingers VERY PRECISELY in the exact spot and push hard, and even then it will sometimes move up or down instead of to the left. Also, the voice command does not work at all. Mine was connected assoon as I put the batteries in. No instuctions on how you pair the remote if you needed to.The backlight is excellent.

So glad it's backlit. I don't understand why when I bought my 85 inch TV, spending that kind of money and they give me a toy as a remote control. Happy with the purchase.

This is a good replacement for the remote that comes with the TV, but it has LIGHT!!!

Looks and feels cheap and squeaks when you press the buttons. Also I couldn’t make the voice control work. I sent it back.

As many who watch TV, they have lost a remote in the couch. It has disappeared and can not be found. Sugest my Pocket Bully had something to do with it. Ordered this remote and out of the box it takes care of all functions the old did. In addition it has some universal capabilities which I have taken advantage of. It is a very long rmote, and is built well as some remotes are built like a POS. This has a brushed metal top plate, and eluminated buttons.
