Glamour Dolls of the 1950s and 1960s: Identification & Values, Revised Edition Paperback – January 1, 1993

I was impressed by the sheer number of "Glamour" dolls that were available in the 50's, some of which I had not thought of as such. Again, the Judds have done their homework and compiled a lot of information in a small package. I always look at the 'Identification' section first; it's full of very useful tidbits and lists......Barbie look-alikes, dolls with extra joints, dolls with unusual construction, dolls with swivel waists, dolls with high-heeled feet, etc, etc. They also include lots of info and pictures about dolls ' wardrobes and available accessories,and features/ characteristics that will help with ID. I own the Judds best known books on composition dolls, hard plastic dolls, etc. and I have never been disappointed with any of them. I'm glad I've added this one to my doll library. If you have dolls you want to identify or are looking for info on a particular doll's additional wardrobe, or which dolls had fur coats in their wardrobes, you really should check this one out.

This book is very informative and has a lot of pictures. Most of the pictures are in black and white but it doesn't matter because they are good ones. I collect vintage glamour dolls and I refer to this book a lot.

This is an American Book about as the title says it is truly a guide to buying the dolls and pricing them in American dollars! I have several English books on dolls but this is totally a new format to what I have been used to. If you are in to American Dolls then this is worth acquiring. Some colour plates but mostly black and white photographs.
