I like the vintage look for my Halloween costume but could easily be used as prop for plays, personal parties, or for wearing to festivals. I love it. Kinda wish we still wear coats like this today? Fits just as described in size chart. Just go by pant waist size you normally wear. Seller is safe, dependable, reliable, fast shipping, and reasonably priced. High quality coat materials and stitching. Looks n feels authentic. Those were the best things about the coat. The only negative thing would be if the maker added real pockets. The look is simply a look and doesn't have real pockets, just looks like it does. That's my only want for the maker to add in on future garments they create. It would make it a true jacket or over coat. I love it! Gonna look great with the knickers, shoes, jabot, stockings and hat I added to make the look complete. Hurry, get yours in time for Halloween or renessance festivals or your own parties!

Be ye a manly sized man I would recommend ye orders a size or two larger. Even after ordering a size larger, twas a bit snug in the shoulder area and I cannot close the jacket over me ponderous gut. Other than that, it seems well made and looks better than the other one I ordered at twice the price.

I bought this in an XL and it fits perfectly. I have broad shoulders so I was worried it might be tight in the shoulder area but it fits great. Im 5'10 -220 lbs. The material is a bit flimsly but for the price, I can't complain. Its actually nicer than I expected

Very light weight which was ideal for my husband to wear to the Renaissance festival, however it also ripped at one shoulder seam after only wearing it for a couple of hours. It's a good cheap costume piece but I wouldn't count on it holding up for a long period of time. Also the pockets are fake just fyi.

I tried several other pirate coats for women and ended up with this mens version. Runs true to size for men. I ordered a large and it is big enough to wear a thick jacket under and still button up. The sleeves are longer also, which is perfect. However, the first night of an event wearing this was warmer than usual and the coat kept me nice and warm without extra layers. Easy to care for I only ironed it upon arrival; perfect for a busy working pirate woman!Other reviewers mentioned the pockets are not functional, and they aren't but do add that extra embellishment to this pirate/Victorian coat/Steam Punk!

Really well-made. Buttons actually work. Can be reused for SO many costumes: Steampunk; Plague Doctor; Fancy Pirate; etc. Large fit my 6', 155 lb husband. He went as a Plague Doctor - only had to buy the kit for the Doctor (came with bird-like mask, gloves, hood, hat, and cross), and wear black dress pants and shoes.

Ordered this item in particular because it was supposed to include the ruffle shirt but when it arrived...there was no shirt included, just the jacket. Could get only jacket cheaper elsewhere and ordered this one b/c it was supposed to include shirt too. Wth?! Returning!

Decent cut and material but the shoulders are extremely tight. Ended up taking it off so I could actually enjoy the day.
