Warm, comfortable, effective inside or outside.
I used this on bike rides at 35 degrees F, standing around for an hour in 25 F, and working in my home office at 68 F for hours. It is comfortable, thick, and effective. While I was very warm in the house with it, I was neither sweaty nor uncomfortable. As I enjoy being outside for a while, then inside for a while, then back outside, this is valuable. Changing base layers repeatedly is a waste of time. I tend to wear synthetic briefs and Tee under these so I can reuse them a few times before washing them. I haven't washed them yet, so I cannot report on how it performs after.
