Brookite 5m Telescopic Windsock Pole

Bought for camping, to fly a windsock for the kids to find their way back to the tent.The poles are poor quality with many loose shards of glass fibres.The base screw-in stopper broke within a few hours, making it less practical to store - having to tape over to the end stop the poles falling out!We have had to use tape on the joints to stop the telescopic sections falling back down when extended as poorly made - poles don't lock tight, just pull straight out.Overall very bendy, more like a fishing rod.We are on our third & smaller windsock now, as almost anything seems to heavy for it.We'll keep it and we'll try to use it, but we'll look for something a bit better in time as this is very poor, though quite cheap. (Sorry, can't think of anything positive to say about it, at the moment!)

we bought the 7mtr one first and was very pleased with it, we have a large garden and so decided the smaller one would look good under some trees we have, this one is no where near as substantial as the 7mtr pole, the bottom layer cracked as we put it over the ground spike, for the price couldn't be bothered to send it back so taped it up with black insulating tape and to date it has held, but my advice is buy the bigger one and don't open it out as much if you've not got the space, if you have got the space, it's definitely the best buy of the two

I have used this to fly a large flag from whilst camping. It is only designed for a windsock but has held up well to flying the flag. The only thing is trying to keep the flag on the pole and not riding up to the end. This is not a fault of the pole as it was not designed for a flag but just a clip on windsock. It will need your owned adaptions. The flag has flown in some gusting winds and the pole has not faultered in any way. Kids love it and makes finding your campsite stand out with the right flag.

This is the second one I have bought, the first is great but I wanted a longer version which this is.

Very easy to deploy, once we'd put all 5 pieces in the correct orientation. Extends to 5 m so is a useful measuring stick for checking very tall objects.I have yet to fit a flag to it though so I can't comment on its actual purpose.

Brookite 5m Telescopic Windsock Pole  Like the Brookite ground support pole which i have just done a review it does the job it is meant to do very well. Like the ground support pole I! feel, because of what it is `Toys` to me does not seem the right category to put it in. For some, like ourselves, it may not be tall enough as we wish we had bought at least the 6m one.
