Glad I didn't return it
I was a bit concerned based upon the cap reviews and I was purchasing this for the GT350, but after noticing the Mustang GT's has the same 21psi cap I decided to give it a try. After receiving this and experiencing the same tight cap issue everyone else mentions in these reviews, I considered sending this back but I'm very glad I didn't. it does fit the cap just as tight as the original ford coolant reservoir does but I found a little trick which make this much easier for me. I believe the inner plastic piece to this cap might not center in the hole which gives the impression the treads are the wrong size. If I start tightening the cap and it doesn't go on like it should, I just tap the top of the cap when it starts tightening up which seems to center the inner piece, thus allowing me to tighten the cap all the way down without using any other tools. I love the looks of this coolant reservoir and the side coolant level window is one of the main reason's i purchased this reservoir over others.
