Loved this beautiful love story
Yes, I admit I’m a romantic but surprisingly I’m not usually a big fan of romance novels. But when I do find one that grabs me from the beginning, as this one did, I enjoy every chapter. This was captivating and thoroughly enjoyable. I appreciate so much the faith and devotion to that which is simply stated. There’s no preaching, just a statement of fact and I love it. Great read for a Sunday afternoon!

A charming story!
The Cottage of New Beginnings is a charming story about a woman who moves back into her childhood home and finds so much more than she is looking for. Eager to make a fresh start after a terrible break-up, Annie moves back to the quaint town where she grew up. Intent on fixing up and living in the house she inherited from her godmother, Annie almost immediately clashes with Jon, a popular local. As they grow to know each other and feelings develop, can Annie and Jon put their misgivings aside and take a chance on love?A heart-warming story about finding love in the most unlikely of places, The Cottage of New Beginnings is the perfect book for readers who enjoy small-town romance. I enjoyed the romance between Annie and Jon, two kind and giving people who aren’t looking for love. They have great chemistry, and their stories are interesting. Both have scars from past relationships, and both are reluctant to trust and love deeply again. However, their feelings for each other are strong.Annie is still recovering from a surprising break-up and feels fragile. She’s not used to being alone, and it takes time for her to build confidence and strength. The author shows how deep Annie’s wounds are, and how the town, her new friends, and potential love helps her to find herself and rediscover her roots.I really like the small community of Thorndale. It is quaint and charming, much like it’s inhabitants, who are well-developed and interesting. Thorndale has changed since Annie last visited and has a modern vibe while still maintaining the older charm that Annie remembers from her childhood. I also like how the author introduces several unique and defined characters, some from Annie’s childhood and some connected to Jon. These old acquaintances and new friends add depth tot he story, and, as this is the first book in the series, I am eager to read more about these characters in future books. Thanks so much to the author and Rachel’s Random Resources for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.

Love this book!
I finished The Cottage of New Beginnings by Suzanne Snow today, and I absolutely loved this book! I wasn't sure what to expect going in, as Suzanne Snow is a new author to me. The beautiful cover caught my attention, so I decided to give it a try. This book drew me right in from the start!Snow had such a fantastic way of bringing Annie and Jon to life. Their chemistry growing rapidly from page to page. I flew through the book, as I couldn't wait to see what happened next! I hope we get to read more about Annie and Jon in coming books, as I didn't want their story to come to an end! Highly recommend!Thank you to #NetGalley for a copy of #TheCottageofNewBeginnings in exchange for an honest review.

a low-conflict novel without diving too deeply into emotions
ThSometimes, you find new genres or authors you love; other times, you discover things that aren't your cup of tea. It turns out that cozy, sweet, vaguely Christian romances maybe aren't my cup of tea. However, that doesn't mean this was a bad book; it just isn't what I enjoy in a book.Fresh off being left by her fiancé, Annie returns to Thorndale, the village where she spent much of her childhood when she inherits her aunt's home. Looking to make a fresh start but swearing off men, Annie is conflicted about her growing attraction to Jon, the sweet, do-gooding village resident and heir to a large property, who has recently returned to Thorndale after spending most of his childhood with his mother in America. Over the course of the novel, Annie befriends the village minister and his wife, learns more about Jon's work in the community, and ultimately decides to take a leap of faith with Jon.If you are looking for a low-conflict novel that scratches the surface of broken relationships and infertility without diving too deeply into those emotions, this light read set in a quaint English village might be the book for you.

Love this book!
What a charming story! The tale begins with Annie's return to the cottage that her Godmother had left her in a bequest when she died. She returns to the cottage in order to escape heartbreak and a failed relationship. The cottage brings back many happy memories, as well as new friends. Annie feels like she never wants to give her heart away, ever again, but you never know who may be just around the corner. I loved the book and found that the storyline and the character development provided such interest that I had difficulty putting the book down. I really was looking forward to Sam having her baby. Please please write a followup!

Just the escape I was looking for
The first book in the #welcometothorndale series is the perfect induction, this heart-warming story following Annie journey as she returns to Thorndale after inheriting her godmother’s cottage when she spent time as a child. Looking for some much-needed peace and a fresh start Annie’s hope for zero drama is thrown into disarray when she has a run-in with local hero Jon and soon the village is constantly throwing the two together, leaving Annie to soul-search about her decision to start afresh in Thorndale. The story follows the twists and turns in Annie’s new life as she struggles between giving in and resisting a new romance, with trust at the heart of the issue. A great reminder that starting again is never easy even in a familiar setting. Suzanne Snow does an excellent job with this sweet, light-hearted rollercoaster of a story which perfectly demonstrates the lover’s journey and has brilliant character development throughout Keeping you hooked throughout. The small village setting provides the perfect stage for the story which will keep you wondering each step of the way combined with an unexpected and adorably romantic ending. This book is a must for contemporary romance lovers, with its use of nature, heart-warming approach, and keen sense of community. The perfect escape I was hoping for.

Great story. But it would have been helpful to know it was a Christian romance
Lovely story. However it would have been helpful if the description included that it was a Christian romance.Getting a lecture about how Jesus love saves in the middle of the book was a surprise. I do understand it was one of the characters talking to an audience. But it was meant for this audience too and I didn't care much for the message. The author is a wonderful writer and I am sure there are many who would enjoy Christian romance but I wish I had of known so I had the option to decline.

Nice easy read.
A pleasant, romantic story set in a rural village and following a fairly predictable formula. Some unnecessary clothing descriptions and a bit of a Christian theme running through it.

ENOYABLE
I liked this book for its imagery, the characters - whom I could have slapped from time to time - who weren't as annoying as many in these situations. The only thing I missed was the lack of pets in the story! I love reading about characters who have animals in their lives and I was astonished that - with all the nice vibes from this book - there were no animals involved.

Captivating
A book that draws. you in and makes you feel that you live in Thorndale village and the characters are your friends. You become involved in their lives and all the village activities as, without boring you with descriptions, Suzanne Snow paints a picture of a community almost stuck in time and yet having a modern outlook.Being so engaged with the characters and their lives you feel their emotions, their uncertainties, and how past hurts have shaped them and their decisions. You so want to tell them everything will be all right. That they can trust again. Particularly, Annie, who has returned to Thorndale after a relationship break down.I also loved how this book took me back to a time when values were based on faith and this is at the core of Jon, who, being heir apparent to the Lord of the Manor, shows no signs of being a snob, but is a kind, caring man.All through the twists and turns of the story, you so want Jon and Annie to get together, but Annie has to learn to trust again. I will only say that the ending brings tears to your eyes as the conclusion to the story unfolds and broken trust has been replaced by love. A riveting read, perfect for a wet weekend, but more than perfect for a holiday read. Highly recommend to romance lovers.
