An old standby, still one of the best protectors you can buy
Right out of college I was offered a job at 3M but didn't take it because of a brand new family member we didn't want to move. I've always admired 3M products and have had 3M masks and filters to protect myself. I was working on project that was going to produce a lot of sawdust so I went to the shed for my 3M mask. The filters had disintegrated; maybe the sun was on the mask where it was stored. I went to my stash of supplies and there was one set left. Time to order more.I use vapor filters when I paint and dust filters when I work with wood. We only get one set of lungs for a lifetime, we have to protect them. Get a good mask and buy some filters. Help your lungs.

My "Go To" air filter
I'm a stickler for working as safely as reasonably possible. This means that when welding I'm not only protecting my eyes - from blinding light, hands - from heat and toxic chemicals, and skin - from burning (and potentially cancer causing) rays, but also my lungs from toxic fumes. Likewise when cleaning metal in prep for painting, or during spray painting, I am protecting my hands with long rubber gloves, my eyes with safety glasses and a face shield, and my lungs with an organic vapor filtered mask. And my air filter of choice is a P100.About the only toxic fume that I can detect myself by smell are the vapors given off by paint thinners and paint, but that doesn't mean they aren't there in the other situations ... I just know that they exist in those materials and processes, so I protect myself from them regardless of a detectable odor or not. And when using the P100 masks I am not able to smell even those very smelly vapors given off by the quick drying paint thinners ... so I know the mask is working. And since I know that the mask's ability to absorb those harmful organic vapors are reduced over time whether or not they are in actual use (just being open to the air degrades their capacity to filter out the harmful vapors) so I keep them in air tight containers until I am ready to actually use them ... and then only use them for a limited time before replacing them for new ones. That is why I keep several in my "stock pile" so that I can rest assured that what I am using when in those harmful environments it actually protecting my lungs.

As expected
I can't say for their ability as I don't have a proper way to test these with results, but them seem just as good as the typical pad filiters I use from 3MM. They fit with my 6000 series 3MM half and Full face respirators.

Don't flow like 3m

Perfect replacement
These filters are a prefect replacement for my respirator mask. I had thought these were 2097 by the photo and text, but are really 2091. They still fit and the mask I have came with 2091, so it works for me.
