Having tried various bike locks over the years, I recently had the chance to use the Diyife Bike U Lock. Living in an area where bike security is a constant concern, the robustness of this lock caught my attention. The sturdy construction, paired with a waterproof finish, means it stands up to daily wear and tear without a hitch. One feature I particularly appreciate is the ease of use. The keys are solid and fit comfortably in the hand, making locking and unlocking a smooth process. Another standout aspect is the double locking mechanism. It gives me peace of mind, knowing my bike is secured with a lock that resists tampering. While the lock is a bit hefty, it's a small trade-off for the security it provides. It has become an essential part of my cycling routine, ensuring my bike stays where I leave it.

I like the size relative to use: 8/10.The mount is good but after use may become loose. Weight is manageable 7/10. Concerned a little with key which feels like it won't last long but there are spare keys oh but lick itself need to push key in hard to release lock. Overall 7.5/10.

I'm no longer able to ride a bike but I do have a mobility scooter that often has to be parked outside for several hours at a time.Most bike and motorcycle thefts are opportunist crimes, they see and easy target and go for it, no lock is pretty much handing your bike to them, one cheap lock can be beaten in a matter of seconds, two, especially if they are good ones will take longer and potentially attract more attention, three and they'll go elsewhere.I take the same approach with my scooter as I did with all my motorcycles. One lock is good, two locks are better, three locks and they'll move on to the next target, I also back the locks up with an alarm and a tracking device made by one of the two most popular phone makers, I plan to keep my scooter.The D lock I've been using is a little old and uses a traditional type key which makes it rather easier to pick so I've been looking to replace it, this set seemed ideal for my needs.The lock is well made and the mechanism works smoothly (there's nothing worse than struggling with a jammed lock in freezing rain) the rubber covering both protects the lock to some degree from damage and corrosion but it also helps to stop it rattling around when not in use.The cable is sturdy with a good thick neoprene covering that makes it harder to cut through and has what look like nice strong couplings securing the loop at each end.Its worth mentioning that this is still really only one lock, to take full advantage of the cable I'd advise a second lock, either another D lock or a heavy duty padlock.For the price I'd say this is a good set, it gets five stars from me.But, it's only a part of what is sadly needed these days to protect your property, add another lock or two to this and consider an alarm if you really want to put off the thieves.

The lock comes in a cardboard box with all the items inside , it has some weight to it , so bear that in mindStraight away out of the box the lock and cable feel well made and strongThe lock itself has a rubberised covering over all of it which I love as it doesn't scratch things as your fitting it to. The key hole to unlock the lock ( it comes with three keys as well ! ) has a cover that slides across to protect the lock from dirt and water, when unlocked the whole bar then comes off and it can be removed.This fits on my fat tyre E bike perfectly ! So really pleasedThe cable , again this is thick and plastic covered so not to damage anything , and in my case with the lock on the wheel and a cable wrapped round a post then locked onto the lock it is perfect for me, and adds that extra layer of security.The only part I'm not keen on is the mounting/storage bracket they give you for the lock, it is plastic and would hold the lock suspended in the air , the lock as I mentioned is heavy , I'm not sure how the plastic storage bracket would hold up ? or for how long ?In my case it will not fit anywhere on my bike anyway so , I will be storing my lock in the bag on my rack , so its no odds to me anyhow.To sum up this is a strong quality lock for a decent price , I would recommend this lockI hope my review and photos have been helpful

Obviously not a long term test, but the lock is so far so good. It is compact, fits nicely to the frame of my bike, and is not overly heavy.The lock does have a weather cover, which is good as I'm sure that's where most have problems: rusting mechanisms after a few months of rain.Whilst the lock does not come with an official rating, it appears to be pretty strong.

Lets be honest, if someone really wants your stuff they will likely get it. The aim is to try and make it as hard as possible and deter the opportunistic thief, this lock appears to fit that purpose.The lock is covered by a soft but hard wearing plastic which should prevent scratches to your frame and also makes it quite tactile and less slippy. The lock itself seems well made, the lock can be hidden behind a plastic slider which will help to prevent water ingress into the mechanism. I liked that the key isn't the usual round type, it's more like a mini car key, this may help to thwart picking. The lock itself works by sliding a metal connector into a cutout slot on the lock, it's quite deep so should provide a strong and resilient connection.The lock comes with a strong plastic frame mount so that you can keep it on the bike ready for when it's needed, but given its weight, you may not want to carry it if it won't be needed.The included cable is also strong at around 1cm thick. It's long enough to allow you to secure your wheels to the lock too.Ultimately I cannot judge the locks pick resilience, but on the face of it, this seems to be a great product. The look and feel alone should serve as a good deterrent, at the price point, I think this offers good value for money.
