Q: Won't soil fall out of the drainage hole at the bottom of the pot?

A small amount of soil will fall out when you fill the pot, but after a few waterings, the amount will fall out very little.

Q: How to water the plants more easily?

My planters are "outside" planters, I use a garden hose equipped with an adjustable spray head to water the planters. I have removed the "self watering" saucers to allow the planter to drain the excess water. If you use the planters indoors, keep the saucers on to protect from spills.
