Can anyone tell me if they have ordered this product if it was good quality etc?
Can we use alfalfa hay to mulch/fertilize trees, plants and vegetables? It won't burns their roots, correct?
Anyone use this for poultry? I heard alfalfa is good to calm down roosters.
Hi. I know that this may seem like a weird question, but has anyone found dead grasshoppers in their bag? It was from a different brand that I found on

Great Stuff!!
My buns love this and i'm already putting in an order for another bag. As previous buyers have said, expect some bunnies to totally ignore the other types of hay you offer them, and even pick through and just eat the Alfalfa hay if you mix it up. Great stuff, very green and good packaging!

Bunnies can't get enough
Whenever my girl rabbit sees me filling her tray with hay she runs over to grab this. I don't feed them much alfalfa because it's too rich for older bunnies but I sprinkle this on the top of the other hay I give them and they love it.

Love quality hay.
I bought this a couple of years ago when I rescued a pair of pregnant sow guinea-pigs. They loved it, and so did their pups! Vital for all young guinea-pig and rabbits until the age of 6 months.

Best priced Alfafa
I dislike the air miles and the amount of alfalfa that gets crushed in the bag...c.50%...but the other 50% is thick long stalks, which, my bunny loves.

Good for young buns
This product is great for our younger rabbit, and enjoyed as an occasional treat by our older one; will buy until the youngster is 6 months old but whilst my rabbits love it, it is not the best hay for healthy adult bunnies due to the high protein and calcium content. As others have found it can be pot luck as to how much of the pack is larger strands of hay and how much is in almost powder form. I sprinkle the finer hay on top of the forage grass in their litter trays, or on top of their bedding hay, and it does help to encourage our older one to eat his hay.

The withdrawal period for these applications is 30 days and most pesticides or herbicides have a 10-14 day waiting period before harvesting. These waiting periods are followed strictly by all Oxbow hay growers, ensuring the integrity and safety of all Oxbow hay crops.\n\nNone of our partner growers use any herbicides in the family of picolinic acids (i.e. clopyralids, aminopyralid, picloram, triclopyr, and several others). These herbicides are known to have longer residual presence in the soils compared to other commonly used herbicides and the chemical is not broken down through the digestive process. As such, our hay would be safe to use as mulch in the garden."}},{"@type":"Question","name":"Anyone use this for poultry?
