This control valve is mostly solid brass and fits the threads on my vintage shower head super nicely. I wish it had greater range of flow control - I would like a bit more output on the open end. It does completely cut the water off when desired, but I wish the open end allowed a bit more flow. That said, it does the job it is intended to do very well and seems quite well made.

We needed a cutoff/flow control valve for our kid's shower and this worked perfectly. It was surprisingly solid and heavy. We can set up the shower for my kids, use this to cut off the water, and then it's ready for them when they (eventually) get in the shower. The rest of our fixtures were from Kohler and were the "Vibrant Brushed Modern Brass" and while this wasn't an exact match, it was close enough to not be able to tell unless you're really looking at it.

I love the way the slide on and off is so easy to operate

I added this upstream of the shower head. The original ring had little leaks but I replaced with a thicker ring it works great. Easy to switch “On/Off”

It is now installed and works as promised. When I turn it to off the showerhead in my shower drips not, until I turn it back on. Or you can just slow the water to more a trickle if you want to keep the hot water flowing so things won't be too cold when you turn the flow back up to full. Heavy metal and solid. Five stars.

Money saver if you have a shower that leaks because you need replace the handle this stops the leak immediately for very little money

This is a super-simple device that goes in-line on your shower head. If you have a shower, uhh, control? like me, it's either on or off; I cannot regulate the flow from mine, it's just "all the way hot" to "all the way cold", like a hotel shower. So this little guy goes on the shower head and allows me to turn the flow way down. Usually, like 99.9% of the time, I don't use it. However, we are currently in a freeze situation here, and as it happens my shower's water supply is the most vulnerable in my house to freezing temperatures. This device makes it possible for me to keep a trickle of water going through the pipes and periodically open it up to do a "burst" test, and it's great. It allows for very precise adjustment of the flow rate. Vastly exceeded my expectations.
