I am a teacher and a coach who somehow have formed this club with my kids at lunch. I noticed they were always on their cellphones and I wanted them to engage more with one another. I purchased this board for its storage capabilities and the fact that it was both checkers and chess. The magnetic functions are wonderful as the pieces stay firm in their locations. The kids have all tried and learned how to play chess and have remained engaged and now competitive. It has been a great addition to the office.The storage behind the board makes it easy to recognize if a piece is missing. With High School kids, this is very important as they tend to lose things very easily.

My six year old grandson is learning to play chess so I wanted to get him a set to have at my house for when he visits. We found this one together and we both loved that it was magnetic. I was somewhat disappointed that the checkers aren't also magnetic, but it's not that big of a deal for me. The pieces are well made and so is the board. Overall, I am very happy with this set and my grandson really enjoys it.

Very beautiful product, impressive with the wooden finish of the pieces and the tray, which has a perfect fit when opened. Unfortunately, one of the pieces, a Queen, was missing the magnet and the felt that covers the bottom. They could take care to review the game before sending it to the buyer, avoiding the frustration of receiving a defective product.

Excellent quality and was a great gift for my preteen who has learned the game of chess.

Beautiful set for my wife and grandkids to play. I never got into it but why wife likes to play. Now my grandson is all about it. Fun to see them play. Age doesn’t matter as they both have beaten each in close games. Wild how much my grandson can play so well.

It is ok overall but they don't mention in description that only the chess pieces are magnetic, while the checkers ones are not. Also, after just two week of using it not often at all, ther start to fall from the precut places. And by the way it came with one corner damaged, we mentioned that only the second dayI boght on black friday, that's way the prices seems to be ok, while without discount seems to be a little bit expensive for what they offer

My kids love taking this game board with us as we travel. Works just like it was intended.
