Manufacturer's Description The Fetch The Vet CD-Rom builds on the success of the children's ITV series and the current popularity of live action 'Vet and Pet' TV programmes. From Granada Learning Ltd, it features many learning activities for children from 3 to 6. There are seven different activities and games which have three levels of difficulty: Fetch on TV develops reading and writing skills as children replay some of their favourite video clips. In Tom's Game children join vet Tom Fetch as he uses his X-Ray machine. They have to match the X-Rays to the correct animals. Romeo's Game challenges children to fill Romeo the cat's feeding bowl with biscuits which drop down in a Tetris-style game. Lucy's Game enables young children to colour a range of increasingly complex pictures. Iggy the iguana loves football and in Iggy's Game, children learn hand-eye co-ordination as they help Iggy head a football past the opposition to score a goal. Trevor the curious goat is locked in his pen and the object of Trevor's Game is to release him. It's new slant on the favourite Snakes and Ladders game. Violet's Game enables children to piece together a series of jigsaws to earn video rewards. The program also includes a number of computer desktop patterns and screensavers.

Tom Fetch show's James Herriot a thing or 2 in these fab games
This excellent tie-in to the popular kids TV show about Vet, Tom Fetch, is great for younger children. There's a wide variety of fun games to play, including Tom Fetch's version of snakes and ladders - 'Thermometers and Stethoscopes'. You can also build jigsaws, paint pictures, play football with all the animals and get addicted to 'Romeo's game', like Tetris, but backwards. Each game comes in 3 levels so even the youngest child can play, and the software grows with them. If thats not enough there are 2 video areas featuring dozens of classic moments from the series. My niece loves it, and can't get enough of Violet's naughty cats.
