Maxima EVO - Pull Out Storage System (Left Hand) with Plastic Bottom

I was excited to get this product and had a professional fitter to install the unit, but there was something wrong with the design as it would not glide at all and was forced to call the company to get some advice. They were so unhelpful, and after making 10 calls, and sending 5 emails I was fobbed off by being told the person I needed to speak to was on holiday, and this became a different person each time. I am profoundly disappointed by this item and would not buy it again, nor would I deal with this particular organisation. It was a waste of money, time and energy.

I bought this to replace an existing mechanism in our Magnet kitchen that broke after 8 years and they quoted us £800 to fix it, so I set about doing it myself!Overall, very pleased and it is better than the mechanism that was in there. It opens very easily and the soft closing mechanism is very impressive and less cluncky than the one it replaced.The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is that the way it needs to be installed, it needs to be attached to either the top of the cabinet, or the bottom of the worksurface above if the cabinet does not have a top to it, which many kitchen cabinets don't have. As we have a stone work surface, it was not going to be possible to drill into that. I therefore needed to build out the top of the cabinet frame so that it could be secured. (see photo). If your work surface is wooden, then it will probably be a lot easier.The fitting instructions are not for the faint hearted as they are complex with lots of measurements, and some elements not instantly clear.Fitting time from the start of removing the old one, building the additional frame and fitting the new one was probably about 4 hours.The overall effect was very good and saved my £600.

I have used these systems before and the baskets were huge. These are so small it is a waste of a cupboard. The frame is over engineered and heavy.If you have a shaker door and don't concentrate :( then the screws are too long.In fact in search of correct screws there are no such thing.The only way to fix is a 4.2 x 13mm and 4 washers so it doesn't come through. ( I used the old door as I had to buy another one so I had it for testing).Hope this helps you don't have the costly and time consuming mistake I have.

Very well engineered and works well. Some adjustments had to be made to the cupboard to make it fit, despite being within the specified dimensions. Some of the small parts were not correct per the instruction book, but I had some parts that worked so didn’t return. The door fittings won’t work with some doors so think about where you will fasten them. Inset panel don’t work. Overall a good piece of kit.

The instructions are awful. No writing just tiny pictures.One of the items was faulty. Screws had sheared. I replaced the screws with stronger ones.Also the screws supplied were near in useless so had to use my own screws.Overall I’m not impressed. This item arrived on time, well packed. Does what its ment to.Disadvantage, it is in a thousand pieces with no instructions. My partner contacted someone for help but the person was quite rude and wouldnt help without my order number. Once he provided the order number he replied you need to go on your amazon account and you will find the instructions in your messages.The instructions were not easy to read as when printed off the writing was tiny.Took quite some time to put together and a lot of patience. But it works well and looks good.
