Bootstrap Farmer Spring Wire PVC Coated, 50 Pack, Greenhouse Film Spring Lock for Attachment of Plastic Poly Film and Shade Cloth

We built our first High Tunnel this year and we used the Channel and the Spring Wire (wiggle wire) to secure our plastic. It was very easy to use, easy to cut when needed and easy to bend on the ends to prevent hooking plastic or people. We get high winds as we are in farm country with lots of open fields around. The Spring Wire holds the plastic secure. We had a large wind storm a few days back and nothing moved on our High Tunnel. One of the nice things is that you can remove the wire to reset your plastic and then put it back on again as easy as can be. Unlike using staples to secure your plastic which is very hard to remove, the spring wire works great. And because it is PVC coated, it won't rust.

At first glance, we thought it wouldn't fit into my channel, as it is at least twice as wide. But, it goes in easy, and due to the extra width, it stretches to much more than 6.5 feet - closer to ten (Update: my son measured it at 7'2"). If I remember to measure it, I'll update this with both the length of the stretched wire and the width of my channel. We've needed to make adjustments and run plumbing through and such, and removing the wire is just as easy, then it pops back in even easier than before. Holds great.

Unfortunately this product didn't work for me . It would not fit in the size channel I have. I could see though the product was a good one ..well coated and of good quality. I must let you know ... the customer service for this company Bootstrap Farmers is absolutely fantastic!! I will not hesitate to order from them again if i need one of their products. Amazon did let me return the product.

This was the first time I tried PVC coated wiggle wire as opposed to the traditional non coated wire. Let me tell you I love it. It is easy to install and is gentler on the film when you are wiggling it into the channels. If you have to remove and reset the coated wire into the channel that is easier too and with no damage to the film.I think that folks who close in their porches each winter with wooden batons and plastic should consider the channel and wiggle wire system instead.

Product worked great. I had run out of the wiggle wire that I bought locally, and these were better and easier to install than those. Also they were even longer than the other wire I had, so I have several left over now for use in other hoop houses if needed. Would purchase again.

As usual Bootstap Farmer provided a solid product.my only issue is Amazonsentitvia USPS and I had to goto the post office to pick it up.

These wiggle wire sections are made from a smaller gauge wire than my other set from competition. The wire is much more damaging to the greenhouse plastic and pierces through too easily. I would recommend the thicker wire, it's more gentle on the plastic.
