As a shield it worked very well. I like to press my slacks and shirts myself as the cleaners never get the creases right. I have a Black and Decker Classic, nice and heavy, which works great for pressing. I had some difficulty getting it on the iron because of the tight spring, don’t get me wrong it is good to have it. But, getting the last hook into the reinforced hole was a process and took a pair of needle nose pliers to complete The fit was great, it was not going anywhere. But no matter what I tried I could not get more than four or five of the steam vents to line up on the iron, not to mention they were half the size. The product did get good and hot but I was unable to use it on a steam setting and having to take it off and on was a nightmare, not to mention it rolled up when it was removed and that made it even more frustrating until I eventually gave up on it. As before, if you are looking for a shield on an iron it worked well, but was not compatible with the steam settings on a Black and Decker Classic. I still give it three stars because once it was on it fit good and firm and the shield for the high temperature worked well. I took off two stars because of the inability to use steam settings. Bought after seeing several versions. Although it isn't lined heat-resistant silver fabric, I bought it because it looked like it would fit a larger-sized iron. I can fit silicon potholders to add heat-resistant protection. I like it also because the zippers and handles seem sturdy. I would recommend this product to others who want to keep their irons dust-free and protected.

I bought this for my wife who is a crafts lady. She always had to wait for the iron to cool off before transporting or putting it away.....no more! Put it in the carrier and forget it!

I have a similar item purchased on Amazon that is wonderful. These are poor quality. This fabric and construction is way too flimsy for the weight of an iron and has no heat shield material inside. It will not serve the purpose listed. Returning.

I accidentally ordered two of these, seperate transactions, and I was called by the warehouse crew, who spotted the potential mix up, and he was happy to cancel one of the orders. Also, the product works, and is a nuetral color, which is rare for these items.
