I bought this kit to give me something to do while recovering from surgery. It completed ignited a passion for amigurumi! I have crocheted a bunch in the past but never tried these little guys because why? Well I’ll tell you why, they are super fast and easy to whip up and stuffing them and sewing them shut is so much fun! I’m definitely addicted now and can’t wait for this brand to come out with more kits. I love the price on this, compared to others it’s so affordable and there are a few things I like better about this kit. The magic ring tool is AMAZING. Literally never struggle making a magic ring again! That tool alone is worth the price if the whole kit, genius. The kit includes instruction cards AND follow along videos. If you’re new the videos are super helpful and break things down step by step. After I did one I was able to just use the written instructions for the others, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the instruction cards and not having the instructions need to be pulled up on my phone! The yarn is easy to work with and the kit contains literally everything you need, down to the dry erase marker for making some changes to the pattern or to mark off when you’ve completed a row. Whether you are a beginner or experienced you are going to quickly fall in love with creating these little critters. And as you can see you might even want to give them a personality of their own! Fabulous kit, highly recommend!

I actually have a good bit of experience with crochet BUT not with amigurimi. Whole different game in my opinion. In a blanket you can make multiple “little” mistakes and almost no one can tell—but for a small structured project like these you can really tell! So I’ve bought several of these beginner sets to improve my technique and practice on smaller scale pieces. Really enjoyed making the bunny from the kit, and looking forward to the others!

This kit does give you everything you need to get your projects going. I was able to learn and finish this bee in about a day in my third day or learning (did the bunny and chick on average in about 6 hrs over two days once I got the hang of the basics). There’s a nice set of tutorial videos but kit is probably better for someone who has crocheted before as there isn’t as much explanation for a beginner; the way the video is shot is difficult to sometimes see the stitches and had to keep rewinding several times to understand stitches. I found free YouTube vids that had more detailed instructions for specific stitches as the YouTuber would explain the same stitch several times and even had animation to highlight the stitches. There were also some tips that could be more useful such as yarn tension that I had to dig up other videos/articles to understand. I get also that the patterns needed updating but it was a little annoying to have to manually update them; also caught some typos that were not corrected in some of the patterns. Price point is cheaper than some other brands so that was nice; but you are paying for in my opinion not true beginner tutorial videos.

This is the perfect Christmas present for my niece. It has everything needed included already, and video instructions as well to make them. Having everything together in one easy kit is the best thing about this for my niece, who is still learning. They are really cute too!

Not enough yarn to make the patterns. Some steps and instructions are different on cards and the actual video . I was looking forward to making these, but was disappointed.

I got this for my mom as a gift! She loves the yarn that comes with the kit but she finds the videos a little hard to follow.
