Merrell Women's Moab 2 Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot, Drizzle/Mint, 8 M US

I just got back into hiking in my early 60’s. I wasn’t sure what type of boot or shoe to buy. After reading the reviews I bought these. A lot of reviews say there is no break in time but the boots come up the ankle and did rub a bit on the back side. It really only took acouple hikes to not bother me. Some reviews also said to buy the wide size. I didn’t and almost regretted it when I put on socks. I worried what would happen if I hiked in cold weather and needed 2 socks(they would be too tight). I have hiked in 20 degree weather with 1 pair of socks and my feet were warm, dry and cozy, so I’m glad I didn’t buy the wide. The boots are snug enough so I don’t slip in them. The boots are high enough to stabilize your ankle when you step on rocks or roots and start to twist your ankle. Exactly the boots I needed. Very comfy and light, perfect for my kind of hiking!

I really love these hiking shoes. I used them for a mountain hike and they feel very comfortable. The quality is definitely superior and while I only used them for a few hours, the hike was rough and they still looked great after the hike. I have other shoes from Merrell and I feel the best in these shoes. I definitely recommend

I wear a size 9.5 and I have a wide foot so I was recommended to size up to a 10. These boots were delivered on time one day before my three day trip to Joshua tree. Many mentioned that these boots take some time to break in however I did not have any issues such as blisters or stiffness. Only problem was once we were going down hill for a long duration of time my pinky stared to get uncomfortable but that was all. These shoes have great padding and keep your feet safe. I definitely would recommend and can’t wait for the journey I will embark upon in these boots!

I ordered 1/2 size up and they were perfect. I spent a month wearing them around the house in anticipation for hiking at Zion National Park. They didnt need much breaking in at all ad were comfortable from the start. Unfortunately, the first time I wore them outdoors at Zion I had to walk through a river. They smelled gross after drying so I threw them in the washer and when I pulled them out, they were really misshapen; which was odd because they are a super study boot. Its as if they went into the washer regular and came out wide. Maybe they arent meant for the washer but they destined for it, as they were pretty stinky from river water.

No breaking in, hiked a steep rocky desert mountain with no trail day one. Grip is fantastic. Worked well on sketchy steep slopes. Breathable and kept my feet cool in 100+ degree heat while hiking.
