Worth the money
This is very good if you are working on smaller works with texture. However you have to clean it as you work so keep rags handy.

Perfect for creating lined textures in acrylic paintings
I used this for creating lines in my acrylic painting. To see the lines prominently one would need to add the paint in thick layers.

overpriced piece of plastic
do yourself a favor and use a hair comb or some tool in your garage you already have. these tools are so overpriced. i don't exactly regret getting them, but i did pay too much for what is a very simple piece of plastic which could be replaced by a number of cheaper and more widely available tools or items.

This is a solid, rigid nylon tool! Not rubbery at all.
This is a well made solid nylon tool with a nice feel in the hand - I'm not sure if the grip is rubberized or textured to achieve that effect, but I like it. The tool is very rigid but has a tiny bit of flexibility in the blade. I tried spreading some thick acrylic paint around on a piece of paper and it worked fairly well for that but perhaps not as well as a silicone tool for my purposes. I am not an experienced user of acrylics, of course. Also, I'm stingy with my paint and these things are shown moving thick paint around in videos.Every other Catalyst Wedge, Blade and mini-blade tool I have is nice and rubbery, great for spreading paint from tubes. I had expected this tool to be similar from the Amazon description and was a bit dismayed when it wasn't, so much so that emailed the manufacturer ti figure out what was going on. They said it's solid nylon and intended to be hard and rigid. Nylon is good stuff with great engineering properties but it in no way rubbery. I'd dearly love to have a nice rubbery tool this size and shape. Oh well. It's a well made tool - strong, heat resistant, even food safe. I won't be throwing it away.

Plastica rigida

Expressive marks and lines
Ive been using an old credit card for block work on paintings, decided to try one of these and it’s quite good. I can get a better range of marks as there are different sized edges. Once you get used to using it it’s great.
