Look Inside: Science (Usborne Look Inside): 1

I bought this for my 4 year old grandson and gave it to him at the weekend. Wow! What a success. He is a boy with a curious mind and this certainly proved to be fascinating and informative for him! He loved it! He always loves Usborne books but this was just perfect for him at his age. It even have flaps within flaps so hours of education and excitement! We only covered two sections in one night's storytime but I feel sure this one will be brought out again and again!

5 year old adores these books but this one especially.The information covers science in the U.K. National curriculum including items like senses (yr2), materials (yr1), forces (yr3/4/6) and sound/light (yr5/6). It does not cover items recently added to the curriculum e.g./evolution. The information is pitched correctly for a 5-7 year old and is scientifically correct. It gives appropriate prior knowledge to support their work in school but not so much that they are bored in class.It also has little suggestions for mini experiments the child can do - none are overly taxing or require non-household materials.The flaps are well made and line up perfectly with the information below. My daughter loves the double flaps (flaps within a flap).We have also purchased the rainforest, bodies, food and ancient cultures books in this series. This is her favorite but I prefer the bodies book. The rainforest one is our least favorite as the drawings are a bit basic and it lacks some of the animals names. (But we still enjoy it!)

My Son who is 4.5yrs absolutely loves this book. Its full of colourful illustrations and has lots of flaps that keeps the book interesting for the little ones. I was also really surprised how much information has been squeezed into this book without looking crammed on the pages. We look at it every night before bed and im amazed how much my Son remembers about how the body works. I would recommend this book to anyone who has a child that has a thirst for learning.

My son is 6 and loves to know how things work. This book flip book is great for kids to learn about science in a fun way.

An interesting book - unfortunately my grandson thought it too young for an eight year old

My 2.5 year old love these books. There are so much on each page that he will be entertained for so long. And oh yes, opening the flaps was an amazing experience for him.

This is a great little book for introducing science to kids. (The only problem is our five year old and two year old squabble over it!). It packs plenty of content and is a good way to start conversations about science concepts like forces or gravity. So do buy this book and read it with them and talk to them about Science!

We have never been disappointed with the Usborne Look Inside range of books, our little boy loves them. This one is no exception, filled with tons of information and hours of enjoyment!

My son loves the Usborne look inside books. We have a lot of them and this one did not disappoint. He won’t put it down. It’s colourful, informative and well written. Good value for money. Educational and fun.

We own the almost compecomplete te series of look inside and love them . Usborne does an amazing job with these books!
