Makes life so much easier…
1975 Bronco with 302 V8. I installed an aftermarket gauge cluster that came with an oil sending unit that needed to be grounded to the engine. The parts included with that kit left too many opportunities for leaks, and leak it did.This not only simplified the setup, but moved the sending unit further from the engine, giving access not only to the sending unit itself, but also to the fuel pump bolts. Also, only 2 point of possible failure instead of 4.Highly recommend for anyone with an aftermarket oil pressure gauge.Btw, to maintain metal to metal contact for the ground, and still seal properly, I wrapped the bottom/last 4 threads with 1/2” Teflon tape, and folded it in half lengthwise. 3-4” strip should be enough to seal, while the rest of the threads maintain metal to metal contact so the sensor works properly.
