A great 'Walkaround' lens.
I can keep this on my A6400 all day and it keeps delivering great results. Not too big for such a small camera. Looks just as great as it works and it works beautifully. The built in optical stabilisation gives me clean images when I'm shooting at the limits.Well worth the price.

Very sharp
I have only had this lens for a few hours, and have only tried it in the half-light of evening, but, I must say that I am, so far, very impressed.I must say that I am not particularly overwhelmed with the additional zoom capability over the kit 16-55mm. I appreciate that it is, on paper, a significantly superior magnification, but the visual impact isn't as great as I was expecting. However, my pictures so far have been pin-sharp. The sample picture that I have included demonstrates the clarity of focus. I was sat about 11 feet from the subject. In the original RAW image I was able to digitally zoom to see the actual brush effect in the metal finish. It is a significant improvement against the standard kit lens, which I found to be generally not too sharp, unless conditions were perfect.Regarding the manual zoom; on my particular lens, I find the operation a little resistant, although it is very smooth. After using the power-zoom of the kit lens, the manual zoom takes a little getting used to, but it is not difficult after a few minutes of messing about. In low light, the auto-focus takes a while to find the spot. It helps if you have a contrasted linear feature to detect. I would imagine that the slowness of focus wouldn't be apparent in normal daylight conditions. The additional weight of this lens, (although reasonably light), has an effect on the balance of the camera. If, like me, you started with the kit lens, you will find that the balance of weight has shifted from the camera body to the lens. In practical terms, this will mean that your grip may shift from the body to the lens. It feels a bit strange at first, but no biggy. So far, I would say that this lens is a good buy. I will update my review if I come across any issues.

A compact, light and useful lens
Purchased as a companion to my Sony 10-18mm wide angle zoom to give a versatile two lens set up for travelling.I've always found the 10-18mm excellent and have had it for a few years now, so what about the 18-135mm?Not quite up to the build quality of the 10-18mm lens which is admittedly more expensive. The lens seems quite sharp throughout the range which is good, the weakest focal length is 18mm which suffers from extreme vignetting when shooting RAW, it can be corrected in camera if shooting jpg, or in post processing with RAW, but you certainly end up with an angle that is more than 18mm. Still I find the lens performs very well overall past 18mm and is a nice addition to the 10-18mm lens I already own without adding much weight to the kit. Purchased with the Sony cash back offer that saved £50.00 making the price a bit more realistic.

great lens
I've been using the zeiss 16-70 f4 for ages but wanted a longer zoom for travelling. This is my default lens now. It is very sharp and easy to use and only a slight bit bigger. Please note though I had issues with my a6300 freezing with it until I did a firmware update.

This Lens impressed me! Far superior to the 16-50mm
If you want the perfect everyday lens this is it.Great Sharpness, Colour , Contrast.Great Optical Steady Shot, hand holding at 135mm is easy.Lightweight.Pair this with a Prime 1.8 or 1.4 for low light and it's really all you need.

Excellent upgrade as a kit lens.
This lens was bought to replace my kit lens. Awesome quality and zoom range compared to the size of the lens. Ideal for traveling kit lens. A all rounder!!

Sharp and compact
Nice and light, relatively small and sharp.Compared against my full frame 24-240 the images at the long end were so similar from my a6000 18-135 (200ish FF equiv) and a7 with 24-240 I decided to ditch the 24-240 to free up some funds and have something lighter and smaller.A a6xxx camera with this as a second camera is a perfect compliment to say a a7 with a quality prime as it covers all the other focal lengths in a small package so you don't miss a shot, although in low light it will suffer

Superb lens
Perfect size for all round lens on A6000. Faster aperture would be nice but would put the cost up. Super sharp pictures at all apertures especially at f8-f11. Highly recommended for travel but would cover all occasions except maybe macro work. Thought a long time before spending this amount of money, (Lot to me!), but highly delighted and will be the only lens I will use for 95% of my needs. Focus is fast and reliable although I haven't done a lot of low light work and the zoom is very smooth and noiseless. Lens hood fits well if required so personally I am more than happy with this lens.
