Impressed
Considering the price there is a lot of detail in the model and looks good. I like how it’s on a bit of railway track and is screwed down do it doesn’t become loose and damaged. It also arrived earlier than I thought it would, overall it’s good money for value and would definitely recommend.

Good value model with decent detail and stand (shame about the sticker though)
I quite like the locomotive models from this company (and some of their aero models). They are a decent size, quite accurate and well-finished, and good value. Like a lot of other manufacturers, at times I feel the term 'diecast' is misused - there is plenty of plastic in this model, but then the same thing happens with so-called 'diecast' models from the likes of Corgi as well. There are decent amounts of attention to detail here for the money and the paint job is quite nice. One thing that lets it down is the tacky sticker with the model name on it, which rather spoils the overall appearance of the product - mine was half peeling off when it came and it just cheapens the look, which is a shame. Haven't tried to remove it as I don't want a glue residue on the stand. Please consider painting or engraving the title onto the stands even if it means adding £2 more to the cost of the model Amercom. I understand why you do this as I imagine all the loco stands for your models are generic and you perhaps make up each model+stand to order, but honestly, I would pay more for nice painted or engraved lettering rather than the tacky (not so sticky) sticker. Overall, a nice model for the price and while it doesn't have all the detailing of, say, a Hornby 00 gauge model, it's cheaper and looks decent in a cabinet. The Valenta-powered HSTs remind me of my childhood, so thank you Amercom for keeping the memories alive for me and allowing model collectors to commemorate this fine piece of British engineering.
