SebagoPortland Boat Shoes - Full-Grain Leather Moccasins, Handsewn with Leather Sock Lining and Non-Marking, Slip-Resistant Sipped Rubber Outsoles

I can't say enough good things about this shoe (and Amazon as well). I knew 30 seconds after putting them on that I was keeping them. They will need a little break in, but no more than a day or two. First off they're true to size AND width. This is important because (as anyone with wide feet will tell you) shoes that say "wide" usually aren't, and you wind up getting (at least) a 1/2 size bigger to accommodate shoes that are too narrow. The 2E are actually wide enough. I also have a ridiculously high instep, and these shoes fit great. The inside is nice and smooth, and feel great without socks. Quality and craftsmanship seem great, and I expect to get a lot of use from these. My "go to" shoe is usually Rockport (and they still make a great shoe), but Sebego may very well take its place. And delivery from Amazon is top notch - I actually got these on a Sunday delivery ! A very pleasant surprise ! If you're thinking about these shoes, don't hesitate !

Box with shoes came in a large mailing bag. Shoes were loose in packaging. Box was torn. Although this mishap did not effect the merchandise the shoes were not the size ordered. I ordered wide size; shoes were a medium width. Shoes were nice looking but could not be worn because of incorrect size.Sent back ended up ordering directly from company.

I was really disappointed with the finish of the leather, it is dull and lifeless. Maybe a good polish will help but these look like they have been sitting around in a warehouse for a few years. Only thing that looks new is the little tag, kind of suspect that was added later to someone else's shoes. Also, I wear a 9.5 wide, that fits me perfectly, but typically I can't find wide so I just go with a 10. According to the website, and the packaging, they had a 9.5W and shipped it to me but it was way, way too narrow to fit. So I sent it back and got a 10W and that TOO is almost too narrow to fit. Not sure where they are getting their sizing but again, I suspect these to be remarketed shoes and the sizes are off.Patrick

The shoe is sized properly and looks good. The downside I found is where the top section is stitched to each side of the shoe (under the laced area), it leaves a very uncomfortable, sometimes painful point on the top of my foot on each side as I walk or move about. I took an adhesive sided pad and placed it over each area and that seems to solve that problem. Also, in my opinion, there should be a more padded, comfortable insole. I'm going to stretch the leather in order to put some gel soles in the shoes for more comfort.Finding a pair of deck shoes in a solid black is a search that shouldn't be so difficult, there should be more options on the market. Would I buy Sebago again? I'd have to think very seriously about it.

Great shoe and most excellent quality, but remember to go a size or two down maybe even three down from what you normally wear in a sneaker. You want this shoe to form to tour foot and fit you well. To my understanding, it is good for a boat shoe to fit very very snug when you first buy them, and after some breaking in, the boat shoe will fit you perfectly. It's all about the breaking in process. Good leather will stretch and form to your foot.If it fits you perfectly when you first buy it, then after you brake it in it will be too large. Trust me. Find a local store and try on a few different sizes to get the suggest fit. Dont be afraid of it feeling "small," because this will soon pass. Understand thia process, and then when you order from Amazon, you will know your exact size. All about breaking a good leather shoe in correctly, starting first with the correct size. This is the only boat shoe that fit my feet among the half dozen I tried. The only flaw is an insole that can be uncomfortable in bare feet.

Parfait, comme d'habitude...

Son estupendos, pero un poco caros o bastante caros. Para el verano es una apuesta segura. Lo único me que me sorprendió, es que no duraron tanto las suelas como me esperaba de unos buenos zapatos.

Llevo Sebagos desde hace mas de 40 años. He tenido, al menos 40 pares Tuve unos iguales a estos ( y por eso repetí) que eran como un guante. Estos no lo son ni de lejos . Quizas tenga que ver que sean made in Republica Dominicana.
