I know people say Led Zep,I like and I see, what they say, but I see only some similarities, I really like this band and happy to hear there is more of this sound being made. Some pred in being an og 313 yes, and have been to the muth many times to enjoy the wine and German fare including before their birth... period. From the school mates Amboy Dukes before the guitar player went self absorbed, Bob S playing at a small bar that became the Pompeii Lounge with dancers ahum, the MC5, and Iggy, CKLW and the WRIF, the Sinclair freedom rally in Ann arbor and the hash feasts also, Orchard Lake and Alice's parties, Plum Hollow & Rouge Park and the real blow ups... the Grande Ballroom and the Eastown Theater. Health has taken me to sunshine and dry, but I will always be 313.

New group in rock, must be heard

My boss turned me on to "Greta Van Fleet" about a month ago. He knew that I am into "Led Zeppelin" and thought I would dig this. He was right! He played the video for "Highway Tune" and it just blew me away!My first thoughts on this song were that it sounded like "Led Zeppelin" circa 1968-1971. With the "Robert Plant" style vocal, the "Jimmy Page" riffing and the thunderous rhythm section, I feel "Greta Van Fleet" have taken a page from the history of classic rock.The other tracks on this EP "Safari Song," "Flower Power," and "Black Smoke Rising" are as great as "Highway Tune."The band consists of three brothers: Josh Kiszka (Lead vocals), Sam Kiszka – (Bass guitar), Jake Kiszka – (Lead guitar) and Danny Wagner- (Drums).Their have been many bands over the years that people have said sound like "Led Zeppelin," but are faint copies or just total rip-offs at best of the mighty "Led Zeppelin."One band in particular comes to mind and that is "Great White." "Greta Van Fleet" have their own thing going without being a rip-off band.I feel "Greta Van Fleet" are breathing new life into a music industry that has (for the most part) been stagnant for 37 years. I see nothing but good things happening for this new band.

I heard the Highway Tune on the rock station and thought it was some previously unreleased Zepplin track. Shazamed it, and immediately downloaded this EP. These boys make me grin ear to ear at the eerie resemblance to Led Zepplin, because they capture not just the lyrics, sound, and ,energy, but also the mesmerizing, raw power Zepplin embodied. That's no easy feat.I've had the thought. If movie studios can reboot beloved franchises (not always successfully, mind you) then why not apply that towards vintage rock bands? There have been notable bands in the last decade or so to aim at mimicry of classic rock bands. Like Wolfmother and the Struts. None have done so with more impressiveness than Greta Van FleetThere's an old saying, "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars." Greta Van Fleet has done just that.I can't wait to see where they go from here.

Greta Van Fleet is in my opinion the best modern rock band out there today. They sound like a mix of Led Zeppelin and Styx, with a little bit of The Who and Rush mixed in. The record is pressed well, and sounds great.I despise the open ended mailers that Amazon uses. But since I ordered multiple records at once, they all came together in an actual box and were delivered safe and sound.Amazon, If you picking up a theme in these reviews; Please stop using those "frustration free" open ended record mailers! They allow dust and grime to get in onto the outer part of the record, and nobody wants to have to wipe down their brand new media!!!

They're a breath of fresh air Young & Extremely talented. Humble Not pretentious. Well versed Real rock & roll band 70's style (I grew up on) no auto tune or back track playing just pure form of music that we haven't heard in many years. Positive Lyrics no tatoos or profanity. 12 & 14 years old when they formed a band playing anywhere they could w/full support of their family composed there own music at a young age. Great album by a great group of kids from my home town area.Don't try to say they're Led Zep wanna be's...they aren't. They just have similar styles. In the next 2 years they'll be better than Led Zep was at the same point in their careers.These kids didn't come from already established bands like Plant and Page did. This is their beginning.I was there when Led Zep exploded onto the scene so know the history. Stay tuned for their future.Buy everything they have released so far, 3 albums worth.Like Alex Leifson said, "They are the saviors of rock & roll as we know it!"

when i first heard this band i thought it was a "lost" song {hiway tune] from led zep, then did a little searching & got the rest of the story. all new and original music written by the band. havent been this jazzed by a new offering since we discovered the black keys. check these guys out on u-tube, impressive and they appear to be in their early 20s. can really hear influences like led zep, rush, aerosmith, and the like (yes, i'm old enough to remember), but these guys ROCK. cant wait for delivery of the new album later this month! hoping for a full album of good music. this one is only a 4-track teaser, but all songs are outstanding, in my opinion.

Got the vinyl yesterday fantastic band, and a fresh sound. This is the first band for a long time I instantly took to, and they will go far. Pre ordered the next album and can't wait.
