Unexpected love when used as substitute for hickory liquid smoke original
I absolutely love this liquid smoke flavor!And I'm surprised!I first used liquid smoke when I was making a diabetes barbecue chicken leg recipe 10 years ago (out of a recipe book that called for liquid smoke specifically). My kids and I loved it!Apparently though, liquid smoke is hard to come by 🤦🏼♀️ especially in original flavor.I was trying to find it for a recipe recently and no stores had it, all sold out. I took a chance with this one as a substitute with the hopes that it would suffice for the recipe.It has surpassed my expectations!I have used it for the initial recipe and it did the job, then again a few times in deviled eggs (adding bacon crumble on top - delish)!I just wish this stuff wasn't so expensive. It is very hard to find in a single bottle, and often what's available in that area flavor varieties which I won't ever use...or two pack which makes the purchase astronomical for something I will use rarely. That's why I gave it four stars. Otherwise it's great.

Good stuff
Used it for the first time on pork chops. Could not get over what it did for the taste. My wife said, Did you do something different with these chops? Excellent

Awesome to cook with!
I really enjoy using liquid smoke in Instant Pot, coating the meat (esp. pork) before cooking. Be aware, I ordered 2 bottles and both arrived with broken lids and some limited liquid leakage due to lack of protection during shipping.

Disapointingly Fake Tasting
Always been a huge fan of Wright's liquid smoke, and appreciated that it was simply pure smoke concentrate. However, after trying "applewood" smoke 3 times, can confidently say it tastes unpleasantly fake. Threw it out.

Great flavor
It gives a great flavor to beef, chicken and spaghetti sauce.

Bottle leaks
Great flavour - so great that it leaked all over the package, and as it was being resent outside the US, everything in the second package also "benefitted" from the flavour - not ideal for yarn
