Good illusrtations, but not educational.
This book is a well-illustrated overview of the subject, but it only covers the surface definitions. Worth checking out, but only a starting point in the subject. Great art, though!

Stops being about Literary Criticism halfway through.
A heavy political bias and tour through the author's personal ideas about what is important replace the discussion of Literary Criticism about halfway through. These guides are generally good, but eventually devolve into partisan single-minded nonsense at some point. This is a book for people who are in the leftist bubble.

Horrible for the Kindle... The images skew the text!
This is horrible for the Kindle. The images are too large and due to being in black and white; therefore, they skew the text and make it literally unreadable. Otherwise, the content is very good and could be of good use if it were able to be read. Redo the Kindle version and you've got yourself a winner. Rarely or never do I give a 1-star review but this unfortunately is 1-star work.
