Mine was faulty (the switch activating the upper section)... I contacted the seller (this is after one of those emails saying "please give us a good review, if you have a problem contact us first") - the reply I received was basically "nothing to do with us, please contact Amazon for a return, have a nice day!" - not quite the response I expected.Due to the postage cost of the return vs the original price I decided to keep it... I am an electronics enthusiast so replaced the litte DPST switch that was faulty (and another loose wire inside), it was simple enough to do... however what I saw inside the circuit worried me a bit more... looks like a LIPO battery but the charging circuit is nothing more than a reg, a few resistors and a capacitor... I am really not sure this can safely re-charge a LIPO battery (which are known to ignite if mistreated) so please don't leave it unattended while charging. Also the cell is tiny so I would not use the torches for too long as it will run it down quickly.Also this is a BIG swatter... I reckon it could subdue a charging bull with a decent swing.... seriously it is SO much bigger than other electronic swatters I have owned, almost as big as a regular tennis raquet, careful swinging it around people, you could actually hurt someone... yep, sure it also has TWO torches built in (why I dunno) but I would rather have had just a usable re-chargeable insect zapper than all of this over complicated faff... it is going in the bin and I have ordered a simpler one.

Our old zapper eventually died the death so we looked for a replacement.This one is much better and also has a decent LED torch in the handle. The torch part is removable to use on its own.It needs to be charged before it can be used, and a USB cable is included for that purpose.Having bought it, we didn't see a fly for a week or so! Just saw one in the lounge and the zapper very easily and successfully dispatched it.Perfect for our needs.

This is the monster of all Zappers! I have used products like these since 2006. This Zapper Racket is well made and so advanced. More importantly, I have an allergy to wasps and carry an Epi-Pen at all times so I fell really save having one of these rackets with me especially during the warmer months living near the beach.

The fact that the zapper only works with the torch at the bottom is really bad, it does not screw on tightly enough, which means you have to hold onto it when you are trying to use the zapper. Then it falls off and by then you've missed the fly and it's stopped working because the torch fell off. A torch that points down is also a bit of a mystery to me. In general, not very happy. I've thrown the box away otherwise I'd return it.

I thought this didn't work. You have to keep your finger on the button for a while for it to charge up. It is unwealdy. If you wait for a fly to land then come alongside it, you can get one. You cannot use this as a swat, coming down on one. It is a good torch, although I don't know why one would be swatting flies in the dark

the bug racket that I have just purchased is exellent and well worth the money well done amazon would be happy to recommend this product and this company.

I bought two items for killing flies and wasps, an expensive version that sits on the side (from another company) and this bat and I have to say that this one wins hands down. My boyfriend was so impressed with the zapping electrocution of the flies that he then spent ages hunting for them just so that he could zap another one. It comes in it's own bag and has a torch as well, very impressed. Would highly recommend.

I bought this item for a family member who had a lot of flies entering their house during the heatwave. At first it worked fine and did it's job. However, when charging it for the second time it EXPLODED causing a small fire. The photos show the damage. This should NOT have happened. This could have been life threatening.Now it's unavailable to buy on Amazon. How do I contact the seller about this?
