Fits in the New 3DS Xl just like the original, much better than non extending versions.

Yes the stylus is a bit loose in the stylus slot, but that’s due to it being slimmer to the original stylus.Also, maybe with time it the bump that holds it in place might wear out but it does hold it in the new 3ds xl without falling out.

I was very hesitant to purchase this because there were no reviews but it is exactly what I wanted. Fits my "new 3ds xl" perfectly and works great. Make sure your 3ds is the correct model before purchasing.

I had to use some thread tied through the holes on the head of the stylus to give it a handle that the 3DS could hold onto; this works for now but I'm going to look for a better stylus soon. The plastic is weak and is already showing signs of strain in the thinner parts.

I got the blue one for my Blue NEW3DSThe blues are different enough that I can see it. Doesn't help that the 3DS is more metallic on the paint job.Still a great piece. I like that it's extendable

Ordered two of these for my New 3DS XL. The build quality is not good. The head of stylus pulls out--had one stylus come with the head severed, would have to super glue it back on for it to be of any use, and the telescoping part of the stylus isn't much better, gets stuck very easily.The blue color isn't even slightly close to that of my Navy Blue New 3DS XL either. The only positive, is that it fits in the stylus slot without any trouble.Stay away from this product.

My 3DS XL started to get case damage that couldn't really be fixed (crack on the hinge) and since I had a special edition it wasn't easy to replace the casing for it. So I ended up upgrading to just a regular New 3DS XL instead. However I was chagrined to find that my extending stylus doesn't fit in this one. Apparently the New 3DS XL is the ONLY device in the entire 3DS family to use a different stylus.For the regular ones you can easily find packs of 4 or 5 extending styluses in different colors for about the price of this one. That being said, I couldn't find anywhere else that had this item.It does feel nice in actual use, pretty much identical to my old extending stylus.

I thought for 7 bucks I was getting a 4 pack of these. That’s on me for not reading the description. It’s more than I’d spend on a stylus when it’s not an accident but the product is what it says it is. So there ya go.
