Earlier flashlights with adjustable beam patterns are nice, but the added ability to change the beam strength (high, low, blinking, ...) makes this my new go-to flashlight. On moonlit night hikes the low beam is perfect for just enough illumination to watch out for snakes and other hazards, without taking away night vision. High beam is like bottled sunlight.Either one 18650 battery can be used with the battery case removed, or 3 AA batteries in the battery case. If my milliamp-hours math is right the AA batteries should last much longer. YMMV

These are solid basic 18650 battery powered flashlights, they are quality construction and worked well right out of the box. Add a good battery charger and some decent 18650's and these are excellent additions to camping, hiking, emergency use, and general everyday around the house additions. you won't be disappointed.

Nothing to dislike about it! It lights up large areas just as well as a bigger flashlight if not more.

We have a number of flashlights in convenient places around the house for nighttime or in the event of a blackout. I think this serves us well and is a great flashlight for any purpose, small or large.The light this produces is very bright and helps illuminate even in the darkest nights. I found that it works exactly as it should.The item is super sturdy without feeling bulky. It has an understated yet sleek design that doesn't exact differ from other products. However, this was to be expected and perhaps even preferred over ones that are more childish.My one issue is that it does not come with batteries. We knew this going into the order, however, it would have been nice if rechargeable batteries were supplied. I'm not sure if they didn't due to restrictions that require the warning label but I have gotten a number of items over the years that had included the exact number of batteries needed to power the device. This one did not.One thing that confused me about this item in the beginning was why there was a charging cable for a battery powered device. We were able to get clarification from the makers who explained that it can take regular batteries but also takes rechargeable batteries. The charging cable ensures that you can charge the rechargeable batteries to full without getting a separate charger for the batteries.We were unsure of this fact at the beginning and tried charging it with no batteries inside as there was no indication of this face. Even with an overnight charge and a blinking indicator light, it does not actually do anything without batteries inside.

Disappointed in this flashlight. It's not bright and does it's own mode pushing the button. I would buy for grandkids.

I purchased a couple flashlights similar to this one about 4 years ago and use them exclusively around the house so when I saw this one available through Vine I decided to get it for our cottage. It's virtually identical to the others so my guess is that there is one light factory in China making them for a number of companies and then private labeling them. I thought this flashlight was rechargeable so I was a bit disappointed to find it actually used 3 AAA batteries (should have read the description better). However I had an extra lithium #18650 3.7V battery and plastic sleave kicking around so I replaced the battery holder with it and now it is rechargeable. As far as the flashlight itself - it was inexpensive, seems well made, very bright and compact. I threw all my standard flashlights that used 2 D batteries away when I purchased the other flashlights 4 years ago and would never consider going back. These little flashlights throw considerably more light in a package about 1/3rd the size and last much longer to boot. In addition, the lens can be pulled out/pushed in to create a more or less focused beam. For the price of these lights I think it's a no brainer to consider replacing any old fashioned 2 D battery flashlight with one of these. Like they say, once you've tried it you'll never go back to those clunkers.

Just as everyone else, I've owned many different flashlights over the years. This one is one of the best rechargeable flashlights I've ever come across. I'm a jack-of-all-trades and I'm in and out of basements, crawl spaces and attics. I needed a dependable flashlight that stays on when turned on. Other brands I've purchased worked well in the beginning, but started to have issues staying lit or dimming. This flashlight seems to have a consistent brightness and doesn't disconnect from battery power even after being dropped. I especially like the internal charger. You don't have to remove the battery to charge it. You just plug it in via the USB cable provided. Good size and good weight. It's not too big or too heavy so it can fit in your pocket comfortably. Best rechargeable flashlight I've bought to date. I've only had it for a short time but so far it's doing great and Hopefully it will stand the test of time better than the rest. I am happy with the product and I recommend it!

The media could not be loaded.  This flashlight works great when "zoomed out" to spread the light out to the general area in front of you. I found it interesting that, when "zoomed in" to its maximum spotlight mode, you can actually see a square-shaped spotlight image of the LED chip. In that mode, I found I could focus the spotlight on fairly-distant trees without the light spreading out much. This is a great general-purpose flashlight around the house but it would also work well when camping or walking in the woods after dark.
