This snapped the first time i tried to use it .. Please don't buy one as the risk of injury and damage to your car is very high ..

This tow rope comes loose in a clear plastic bag with no documentation, and there's no cable management for when not in use; I've used a Velcro strap I had spare to tie it up.The unit I received measured 4.1cm x 370cm, with a thickness of 0.2-0.25cm; so, not exactly four metres, but close enough.The hooks seem solid and are each made from one piece of steel, but what I didn't like was that the clips to secure them seemed a bit thin and flimsy in comparison; they might be fine in practice, but I'm just going by what I see. I guess it would depend on how you attach this to the tow ring, whether using the hook itself as the main attachment point, or looping the strap around it and then connecting to that instead.Construction of the strap is generally good, and consists of two pieces of nylon-like material stitched together; on the ends it's doubled over on itself and stitched together using a webbed criss-cross pattern for a length of 11cm from each end. For the entire length of the strap, there is a parallel stitch 0.9cm from the edges in a contrast navy blue thread.Overall, it feels like good quality, and you could likely tow a vehicle using this. This says it's rated for five tonnes, but it's probably best to use this within a safe percentage of that limit. As long as the math adds up when you check the manual for your own car and what it can safely tow, as well as the towing weight of the stranded vehicle, you should be fine.I hope to never need this, but I'm glad to have it in the boot just in case. It might also come in handy for non-automotive concerns, if you need to tie something to a fixed point. For £10, you could do a lot worse.
