Faster than most internal drives. Easy to use , i grabbed it on sale so an incredible value, easily fits in my shirt pocket, works on my Mac or windows machines. I have never experienced any loss with Samsung and have been using them for years

Drive is rugged, small and fast. Have had no problems with it, and it comes with heavy duty cables. Excellent choice for external drive that sees a lot of travel. Good heat dissipation for a rubberized shell. 100% recognized by my Apple hardware.

I love this hard drive! I had a 2TB Toshiba that worked great but was running out of space and getting slow. Then, I bought a 4TB toshiba and that's been driving me nuts with the lag when opening and closing my docs. I finally read a bunch of reviews and decided to splurg for this Samsung and it is lightening fast. No lag, no frustration. It's tiny and yet it has so much power. So far, not a hitch. One thing you should know, that they don't mention in the instructions (which are extremely brief as there is not much to do but plug it in), when you first plus it in, it gives you a choice of Mac, PC or Android. Click on the appropriate file for your operating system and it will format itself for you. I use a PC so that's the one I clicked on. After that brief task, enjoy your new found speed. I am. I have been using T7s for the past few years to backup computers and store footage for content creation. I needed a larger drive for video editing with Final Cut Pro. This drive has been great so far and really fast. I like the rubberized outer shell, feels high quality and dense enough to protect the drive if falling. The drive does get pretty warm while editing for awhile but I haven’t noticed performance issues as it has gotten warmer. Even on a thunderbolt port the highest read and right speeds I was getting was around 800-900mbps testing with Black Magic’s tool.

I now have 3 of these drives and they are fantastic. Work beautifully with Premiere Pro and data transfer is fantastic. I replaced a 5 year old G Tech Raid after it was becoming ridiculously noisy. Like LOUD. Decided no more spinning drives, only SSD. I wish they made a larger version (8 TB), but they are so well sized, it was a small compromise.

Using this as a safe place for storing data I want to retain, but isn't critical. Nothing against this model, I just need the space most. It's a great place for keeping .safetensors!
