This bed is exactly as described, and, for the price, I believe it to be great value for money; a bargain. That's why it has to have 5 stars for the product.I've tried many mattresses in stores and needed a firm. BEWARE, if you buy this "firm" mattress, it is very firm. This is too firm for me, so, be careful. With this product, one you have unwrapped it, they will not permit you to return it. My advice, only buy a mattress you can test or can return if it's not right for you! It soon came to life, no horrid smells and the cover is so soft, slippery for most fitted sheets. Something about the luxurious black silky smooth cover that makes me want to sleep on just that. . . If you want a very firm bed, this is the one, and it's maluable profile will fit your body.

Never thought I'd find a more comfortable ultra firm bed. I can literally feel my spine decompressing when I lay down. It feels like being suspended on a plank that is also a cloud and I'm in awe. My partner who sleeps hot does not overheat anymore, and being the freeze baby I am, I find that this bed adapts temp quickly and I'm perfectly cozy within minutes and do not ever wake up feeling too cold. One month later and it's not even barely beginning to break in, a good sign this bed will last forever. We received this on a Wednesday, unboxed that night. Within the first hour it was almost fully fluffed. Three hours in it was at full firmness with only the corners and the middle where it was taco'd left to take shape. Thursday the corners took shape but the middle still had a faint crease. That Friday we finally slept on it, even though the middle crease hadn't fully gone away it didn't affect the feel at all as this is a very firm bed. After a few nights of sleeping the crease was finally gone. This is a fantastic bed for heavy people who have searched long and hard for the ultimate firmness and comfort, but be warned if you are under 150lbs this might feel like a rock. Judging by the firmness of the max firm, I'm not surprised at all to read reviews that even the medium firm was too much for some. I'm so glad to have this bed in my life for years to come, and will happily buy another when its time for replacement. The only drawback is that the mattress cover has a very sleek feel so the corners of my protector and sheets slide up, but a $6 4-pack of corner straps did the trick and I haven't had an issue since.

At first I was disappointed as the bed felt too firm and my hips hurt when lying on my side. Slowly, but surely the bed began to relax more and my body as well. Now one month in and I really do like the bed. The bed offers just the right amount of support and keeps my body from over heating as I sleep. I would recommend for those who like it firm for support but in " feels good" kind of way , and I'm particular and so is my body.

I ordered the king firm mattress. I have back pain and am a 34 yr old, pregnant, 230 pound female. I was looking for a firm yet comfortable mattress. I ordered this one because I saw complaints that the medium firm was too firm. I figured the firm would most definitely be firm, lol. So far, after just laying on it, I'm very happy.It came really early, which I'm grateful for, because I have general lower back pain but I JUST hurt my upper back today. I'll be laying in this bed a lot the next couple days and can give better insight at that point. There is no smell at all! It took a few hours to inflate, and technically I shouldn't be laying on it yet, but I can't help myself. I do not regret this purchase and think the reviews and sales should be higher than what they are. I've had a cool gel mattress, which has a lot more reviews and stars, but this mattress is more of a true firm than that one.UpdateI've had this mattress for nearly a month now, so I can give a more clear view. I not only have back pain now, but also neck pain and headaches since I've been sleeping on this mattress. You sink into it. It doesn't keep its firmness. I'm so disappointed and in so much pain. Save yourself. This is not the mattress for you.

This mattress is super firm, we purchased a extra memory foam topper 1 1/2 inch thick and it’s close to being very acceptable.I still like it as I’m sure it will hold up many years being so rigid.And I do realize it was advertised as firm but it is beyond firm!

This matress is exactly as described. It is a firm matress. my old matress had too much give and I was waking up with horrible backaches. I've had this bed for a few weeks now and my back doesn't hurt in the mornings. So if a firm matress is what you're looking for this is it! It took about 24 hours for it to fully expaned and form the right shape but I did sleep on it about 5 hours after taken out of the box. I would buy this again! It also did not have a strong chemical smell!

Our 11 years old foam mattress needed replacement; after reading about a few brands decided on the EgoHome. It arrived rather quickly. We opened and unrolled it in the early morning and by evening it had fully expanded. Unlike “mattress in a box” from years past, this one has absolutely no funny odors and it does expand very evenly. As advertised, it is a firm mattress, and it does help dissipate body heat. We are very happy with it and ordered another one to replace our daughter’s old foam mattress.

This by far was one great purchase ! This mattress is is one of the most comfortable sleeping mattresses we have ever owned . It is as stated , firm but truly comfortable. We have purchased other mattress that come vacuum sealed and for the most part they have been ok . This mattress is really worth consideration if you desire a firm but yet comfortable mattress. We have been impressed !
