Think carefully about what you need before buying this !
I admit I was not sufficiently careful about how the specification matches my likely use of the saw. Basically this is a well engineered chop saw that does an excellent job in that mode, although slightly compromised in cut visibility by the table above, and bearing some extra cost. Perhaps I should have bought a better specified chop saw for the same money, but the lure of replacing an old, defunct, table saw at the same time was too tempting. Sadly the table saw on top is more of a toy affair, and not well engineered. It does not lock rigidly in place, allowing some slack movement in the workpiece relative to the blade. Good-bye precise and accurate cuts ! This may not matter on all cuts, but is not good. The table size is as specified, but still seems smaller than expected. This is made worse by the deck level being high, so much harder to set up supports for the workpieces. Worst of all, and it was my oversight when looking at the spec and pictures, is that the table does not have channels for the normal sliding guides to control the workpiece through the blade. I have never seen even the cheapest proper table saw that didn't have this essential feature. If a persons need is for cutting small parts for model making, etc, it may still suffice. For even modest DIY use I think it inadequate, and has the potential to encourage very dangerous work arounds. The specification says it can be used for cutting long boards, but I fail to see how. Without a sliding guide, and with very poor visibility of the blade through the safety guard, any board would ineviatably drift, perhaps causing dangerous blade jamming. The supplied side guide only helps with fairly narrow cutting down along the length of boards. Sorry Evolution for my criticism, but the concept is good, and with just a few important design changes, the next generation of this saw could easily be the game changer it might have been.

Must have for simple projects
Best buy i've made. Doing some basic diy in my home it has been super handy, once I figured out how to set it up and use it. Found a youtube video for set up which was easy to follow and I just need to remember how to convert from table to chop saw, I swear I forget every time! For long peices I simply use a prop to keep the wood flat. A sight lazer would have been super handy but I simply line up the blade (when its unplugged - safety 1st).

Disappointing
No power so didn’t work at all

Nice small saw
Great wee tool, if you take the time to set it up right. The fence has 2 holes on each side, and you can screw on a thin piece of wood, so that your first cut gives you an exact mark to line up your subsequent cuts. If you cannot stretch to 2 bigger, separate machines this is a nice compromise.

Not as good as expected
Not impressed by this machine seems to be well made but the operation of it really is hard work definitely not as big as expected and using the table saw was absolutely horrendous I was cutting approximately quarter of an inch off a 4 inch board 4feet long there was no way I could push the wood through It jammed all the time I was using the side panel as a guide but the wood would not push through the push stick is so flimsy it just bent and slipped off I was pushing and pulling so difficult to use then using the chop saw at 90. Degrees it’s virtually impossible to see were you want to cut have to keep lifting the guard to see the blade and your cutting line then with such an awkward set up I missed my mark numerous times it looked as though it was lined up then cut and it’s quarter inch short I’m not a novice but this not a go to tool for me it’s so awkward to use
