My is one picky puppy and she LOVES the flavor of this. I have had a miserable time trying to brush my dogs teeth in the past (she is 5-years-old and knows what she likes/doesn't like). Finally, I am able to clean her teeth with this product as she actually likes the taste. Minty toothpaste never worked for my dog and the flavors seemed to repulse her. I'm glad I listened to the reviews and bought this because it has proved successful. I let her lick the toothbrush as a treat after her brushing (her favorite part).My dog is 4/5lbs and I have been using an infant toothbrush for her small teeth which I highly recommend to small dog breed owners (many pet store toothbrushes were too large for her mouth). If my dog has tarter build-up starting to occur, I just brush her teeth with this for a few days and her teeth look white again. It has been great in managing the dental health of my pup since she had her teeth cleaned. Smaller dog breeds tend to have a history of easily developing periodontal disease (canine gingivitis/ gum disease) and using a tarter-fighting toothpaste every day/other day is worth the health of your dog! I highly recommend brushing your dog's teeth until waiting before it's too late to control gum disease/tarter and plaque buildup because tooth cleaning is very expensive! Professional tooth cleaning is the only way to correct tooth/gum damage past a certain point and cost around $325 for my little chihuahua. I wish I would have dissevered this toothpaste sooner but am glad that I am finally using it now as part of my dog's hygiene regimen and health.

Compared to other dog tooth paste I’ve used, this is much better. The best I have been able to come across.

I bought this toothpaste for my Papillon who would get nauseated after I brushed his teeth with the Petrodex Enzymatic toothpaste I use to brush my Labrador’s teeth. No more nausea. I’ve only been using it for six weeks (started right after he had his teeth cleaned) and so far his teeth have remained clean. I am also using Vetzlife oral spray in between brushings and he tolerates that also. They are both pricey, but if they reduce the number of dental visits he will need over his lifetime it will be worth it. Time will tell.

1) Both of my dogs like the taste; 2) Their breath doesn't smell after brushing 3) This is made in the US.Both dogs have had to have teeth pulled due to dental decay. Now we are brushing their teeth. They like this flavor, so we're sticking with it.

I was super hopeful my dogs would like this and get excited about having their teeth brushed. The reviews really made me hopeful about it.No such luck. I even tried to mix it with real peanut butter bc I occasionally give them small spoons of peanut butter. They just ate the peanut butter that didn't have this mixed in with it.I'm guessing that, for most dogs, this stuff is great. But my picky poms were NOT having any of it.Luckily, they OBSESS over Greenies, so one a night keeps their teeth perfect. Our vet even assumed we brush their teeth everyday bc of Greenies--and our dogs eat lots of raw carrots, which have enough natural sugars in them to cause plaque and tartar problems. I dislike the much higher cost of Greenies but, if they do the job, it's much better than having the dogs have to eventually get teeth pulled.

The media could not be loaded.  I just put this toothpaste on a toothbrush and my dog does the rest. It’s too funny! Our last vet check-up gave him a 9 out of 10 for the condition of his teeth!

This product is great. Dogs love the taste of it. Will be buying more of this in the future.

My dogs like this toothpaste as it foams up a bit making brushing their teeth easier. They accept the taste also.
