KawecoAl Sport Fountain Pen M Black

This is my second Kaweco Sport so I know what to expect, and this one is almost perfect.If you’ve not owned one before I can thoroughly recommend them. They’re pleasant on the eye and in the hand, and they write beautifully. Their use of raw metal - brass and aluminium - makes them distinct from contemporary pen designs and it compliments their minimal but highly unusual design perfectly.The cap and barrel of this particular pen are beautifully engineered and fit each other like a glove and the aluminium is flawlessly finished, but the nib feels a bit narrower and scratchier them on my other fine-nibbed brass Kaweco.It’s not enough of a problem for me to return it, but consider this a 4 1/2 rather than a 5 review, and a reminder that no two hand-finished items are ever going to be quite the same.

Kaweco...a brand I'd never heard of before purchasing this pen (is that bad?), but am I glad I stumbled upon tis little beauty!!Since early December 2014, I've been collecting fountain pens from across the globe from all manufacturers, new, old and vintage. It's March 2015 and I've amassed more than 50 pens and my Kawdco is a prized possession.After seeing reviews on YouTube and looking at all of the different variations, I couldn't resist the stonewashed effect pen. I like a heavy pen, so I knew plastic wouldn't really do it for me. The fine nib wasn't as fine as I would like, so if I was to order another, I'd go for an extra fine.A word of warning is that the pen comes with only one ink cartridge and no converter (ipurchased one separately) and it is a small cartridge as its a compact pen.I would recommend this pen to anyone looking for something unusual to turn a head or two!!

Great design, but not great at actual writing. Ink doesn't flow reliably or smoothly. Doesn't post securely, can feel movement. Lamy Safari writing experience much more pleasant at a fraction of the price.

Purchased as a gift for our son. He's using it evryday for work and carrying it in his trouser pocket. He likes the finish, cool but practical and warm to hold. The nib is a smooth writer. Ideal for an engineer he says. Also, he's happy that it takes universal cartridges too. Eash to replace and maintain.

Kaweco are great pens. I own 3 of them. This item was defective as the nip skipped some beats when writing fast. I think it was a lemon. As I write a lot I noticed. Probably occasional writers wouldn't even notice. Also, the brass Kaweco has a more substantial feel to it.

Great little pen and very quick delivery. I use this as an everyday pen and for sketching

Bought this after seeing an advert in the FT. Just a bit of fun really. Surprised how good a pen it is for such a small price. Now writing in ink and using this all the time. I'm a list maker so it gets loads of use. It's quirky and fun. Buy one and enjoy writing again.

A very nice item. It has no clip but I knew that before I bought it. It is not very big but still nice to write with even with the fine nib. It also has a good solid feel about as well and looks and feels like a quality item, albeit a little pricey.
