Less noise, much better coffee
This is the 2nd Keurig machine that I have owned, the previous being a K145 OfficePro that I had for almost 10 years. I bought the new machine because the K145s cup size selector switch started to malfunction, probably from the contacts getting worn out from use. Being an engineer, I know that this only happened because of inferior design and/or parts quality. Neverthless, I was able to grab this unit on sale for labor day. I'm not sure if I would have paid full price for it, but it seems to be worth what I paid. I have made several observations after using this machine for over a month, hopefully to help the rest of you make an informed buying decision.Pros:- Makes better coffee than my K145. I would imagine this is due to Keurig changing the time and/or water delivery speed of the brewing process. Using good-quality K-Cups, it makes coffee on par with using a good-quality drip machine (like my Ninja). The coffee is notiably richer and more full-bodied compared with the K145 using the same K-Cups. This was a surprize to me, as I expected just a more expensive version of the old machine. Being that I love good coffee, this alone would have justified the purchased in my book.- The pump makes half of the noise that the K145 did. This is also a plus because I get up early for work and don't want to disturb the rest of the family. The brew time is about the same.- The machine now allows 2 extra cup size selections -- 14oz and 4oz, 1 larger and 1 smaller (by 2 oz) than on the K145.- The machine will dispense hot water to make tea or hot chocolate. I can't comment on this feature yet, as I have yet to use it.- The water tank is 20%-30% larger than on the K154, leading to more time between refills.- This machine is compatible with non-Keurig K-Cups, as there is no barcode reader in the machine. Don't get me started.Cons:- The water tank was a product of the 'function follows form' perspective of some marketing idiot. The tank doesn't have any convenient surfaces to grip it in one hand, and due to it's compound curves is difficult to reinsert into the machine correctly. It's a 2-handed operation, due to their wanting to hide the water tank and make it look like the other half of the machine from an industrial design perspective. Mildly annoying.- The water tank doesn't have a window on the front to check the water level. Another brilliant design choice. Now I have to peek around the side to determine how much water is left.- The menu system of the digital pad is mildly confusing, and takes a little getting used to. It's not terrible, but it could be more user friendly. Playing with the settings using trial and error is more useful than trying to read the manual, which was probably written by the same person who designed the water tank.All-in-all, the better quality of the coffee, the larger water tank, and the quieter operation justifies the upgrade. Reccommended, with a few reservations.

Fast, looks and works great
I love my keurig!Makes great coffee and in fast time! This is the 3rd one I've owned. I like the pods it takes because there's no mess.

Very nice coffee maker
I got this to replace my old Keurig that died after 15 years! I really like the features on here: 1) big water reservoir, with a replaceable filter. 2) lots more cup size choices. I don't do iced coffee but I like that there is a button for that (not sure what it does different? you're still brewing hot coffee, just into a cup full of ice. Maybe it adjusts for less room in the cup due to the ice?). I also didn't know, but like, that it has a removable filter that mounts in the water tank. You get one filter with the unit which it says lasts 2 months. You can get them online here for a reasonable price. they look like little woven pods, and they contain charcoal. But I like the idea of filtering the water BEFORE it gets inside the coffee maker--hopefully that makes it last longer without accumulating crud on it's insides. The one feature I didn't fully understand was hot water on demand. Just press the button and get plain hot water right away. Great for tea, etc. Well, I tried it and it does not come out through a separate tube, so if you've left a K-cup in the unit, you will get watered down coffee. But now that I've adjusted for that, I like it--in addition to making tea, it's great for fixing a bowl of instant oatmeal quickly, and it makes it hot but not too hot to eat.Overall, very nice. Hope it lasts a long time like my last one.

I love this and it works wonderful I can make small medium and large coffee without having to make a whole pot and you can buy all kinds of pods to go with it and have some great flavors.

Good coffee & good machine but a few frustrations
4.5 stars.I had the prior model for years but it died. I was disappointed but love the pod coffee setup and there was no doubt that I'd replace it immediately. I was excited to see that there was this new model out with new features.Overall, my impressions are positive. Compared to the previous mode, it has- More & easier cup size selection- Larger water tank (but see see frustrations section below)- Far better clock setup (but, again, see frustrations section below)- No need for a separate hot chocolate setting- Easier cleaning/descaling function- Directions for iced coffee (maybe the old one did that as well, I don't do iced coffee)The feature of this new model that I appreciate the most is that you can load it up & make your selection before the water is hot - then walk away and it will do what you want after the water heats up. With the old model, you had to tell it to heat the water and then wait (or more likely go away and come back) before you could load it up and make it go. Basically, you can now do in one step what previously took two steps that had to be done about two minutes apart (that was a TERRIBLE design flaw of the old model and I'm so glad that it has been fixed).I took a 1/2 star off due to a few annoyances including:- It makes you refill the water tank when it's down to 20% full. WHY?!?! What a waste! Just make the tank 20% smaller - or, let me use all of the water in it (there's enough inside the machine to get by and so NO reason at all for this moronic design flaw).- Due to some electricity setup issues in my very old house, I have to unplug it periodically. The clock doesn't update the time automatically and makes me reset it each time. I have bought clocks recently for $10 to $15 that auto-set themselves. Surely that would be an easy & convenient add to this machine.Overall, I recommend it but Keurig still has some work to do for it's next big model release.
