Spy Kids 2

My daughters saw the first one and couldn’t wait to watch the second. It kept them interested and they asked to watch it multiple times. My 3 and 4 year olds weren’t as interested, so it’s definitely an in between movie for the kids.

I grew up with the Spy Kids series and have the first two on DVD, have yet to get the third. These movies were way better when I was a kid. But then again, Carmen and Junior seemed way more older and mature back then. This whole series seemed way more mature back then. It's silly, it's goofy and its full intent is for kids' imaginations to run ramped. I honestly believe the 3rd film should never have been made a video game- that whole film just destroyed the series entirely - and instead should have continued on from SK2 with Dinky Winks wanting to strike up a business deal for a theme park with Romero- that would have made an interesting 3rd film. This series easily could have produced 5 films- and that should have been it, with Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara as the main leads and Emily Osment and Matt O'Leary as the main co-stars, with their parents and grandparents popping in here and there. The series was called SPY KIDS- Rodriguez should have actually paid attention to the title of his own series and ran with it- but also while producing this series years earlier, for the cast was growing out of their roles quickly- he could have made this series go in so many amazing, new-found directions, making this series so much bigger than it turned out to be. The fact that it wasn't still makes the little kid inside me cringe with pity.

Riddle me this: HOW has this not been retired into the Greatest Films of All-time Hall of Fame? It has everything. Watches that don't tell time, pigtails that can cut a b-, tiny dinosaurs that might bite your ankles, a neverending volcano drop, Juni, Carmen. Shut up already and watch it!

This is a good kids movie, the part that really is terrible about streaming movies from amazon is every movie I watch, or my grandkids watch stops 2-3 times in the movie to load. My internet is with comcast and I have checked my equipment and I have checked my internet speed. I have good speed, and I am always on the internet for my business. I can watch netflix movies and never have a problem with streaming. What is wrong here. I have built up my library with amazon thinking I have the best, and I don't feel that way any more.

Know what you're getting into -- a fun, over-the-top child adventure with a couple of scenes / lines your 8-13 year old will find hilarious. You're not in it for the plot, or the acting, but the fun. And it is a lot of fun. Its silly enough that even my 9 year old said "why does the spy headquarters have the spy name on it? thats not very secretive." The whole series is respectable in terms of being goofy goodness for kids.

What can I say, I've bought all three 'Spy Kids' movies and my kids love em all.All three films including this one are well put together and completely suitable for any of my kids to watch.It's the excitement and engrossment that astounds me with these films. They really capture their imagination and the difference between good and bad. My 6 year old son has watched them all more than 3 times each and he's as excited watching it again as he was the first time.

The Second Instalment of the Spy Kids films.This one finds another pair of spy kids added to the mix, with an invisible island and strange creatures. This time the kids go missing and the parents go to retrieve them with help from Grandad and Grandma.It has a fair amount of action and great gadgets.

This film is great - its funny and everything. I think that it doesnt match up to the first one but the acting is excellent, the setting is really cool, and of course the gadgets are too. If you are debating on buying this then go for it, but expect a little bit of bad acting - especially with the little girl - Gerty. There are huge monsters and Carmen is begginning to grow up and have crushes, its all very good. This film is excellent, but not quite as excellent as the first.

Brilliant funmy son loved the first movie and im a big fan of the director Robert Rodriguez.nice to get a kids movie thats not full of stereotypes, the girls give as good as the boys and the hispanics kick ass as well as macauley caulkin or any other hollywood blond haired blue eyed kid we normally get fed on. but on a more serios note, Antonio Banderas is enough eye candy to keep mums entertained for hours on end too.amazing film. watch it over and over and over. smart, funny and 110/10

If you liked Spy Kids you will love the second installment. you should definitely get both. Great family entertainment. If you have not seen the first film
