Bride on the Run...
Book 1 in the Sullivan Family Series is well written and that held my interest throughout. Sarah Rothman and Caleb Sullivan have things in their past that they have to overcome if they are to move forward. I enjoyed reading their story. I want to read the next book in this series.

Two wounded souls who help each other heal
A really sweet story about two wounded souls who help each other heal. Sarah was adorable and so likable while Caleb was sad, dark and moody. Caleb had lost his fiance to a tragedy and Sarah was on the run from an arranged marriage. They both meet up at Oak Cottages in Maine where Sarah is working and Caleb is in partial seclusion working on his latest book. Lots of drama, suspense and danger. Well written with a good story. This was the first book of the Sullivan Family Series.

Charming
The characters were so well written that I really felt for them, flaws and prickles included. It's a great romantic story.

Running Away Works!
Sarah escapes from her wedding at the last minute and runs away... far away, from South Carolina all the way to Maine... She sell her Porsche, buys a used car--and pockets the money difference--and finally stops in a little town on the ocean in Maine... Caleb is a writer trying to escape to a quiet, secluded place where he can work on his book in peace, without interruptions... They both meet at the Oak Cottages, where Sarah has found work of a sort, and Caleb can write without interrupton... Except they develope feelings for each other...Sarah mees Caleb's family--a world of difference from her own parents... Caleb had been engaged before, and the girl who would have been his sister-in-law blames him for her sister's death, and wants revenge. Srah gets attacked, and at frist thinks it is her own parents who are responsible, but learns it is the sister... The sister is caught, and Caleb and Sarah marry at the end, with both families in attendance... I tell thi in a straight-forward manner, but the book is much more interesting. Milan Watson has written a very good novel here--and it is not spoiled by attempts at erotica, nor does ti need them!

It's Hard To Love When You Can't Trust
Love a book that features 'true' romance. This one does just that. We have a little bit of it all .... love vs tradition, mystery and intrigue, different personalities learning to appreciate each other AND, last but not least, NO instant love connection. Bride on the Run remains true to the storyline. A soon to be bride overhears a conversation that shatters her ... her thoughts and her beliefs. She finds out the man she man she always kept high up on a pedestal isn't who she believed him to be. She realizes her marriage would be a sham and thus bails out at the last minute, leaving the 'groom' waiting at the church. Her marriage wasn't about romantic love, more about friendship. She realizes this just hours before it's too late. She runs. She runs in search of freedom, escaping the traditions steeped in old Southern families of wealth. She runs from all the expectations placed upon her to freedom. She wants to be free to live, free to choose real love, free to choose real friends. It will be a rough and tough journey but finding the freedom to choose is worth it. However, even the freedom to choose comes with complexities. That conversation she overheard hours before she was to say 'I Do' .... that conversation that knocked her white knight off the pedestal she had him on, that conversation is always in the depths of her mind, waiting to come to the forefront when a special 'someone' enters her life. It's hard to love when you can't trust. It's a journey learning to trust again and to heal old wounds. It's a journey of melding and changing beliefs and lifestyles.... it's a journey of healing families and learning how life can truly change if we are willing to let go.

Cheesy Read
I obtained this free e-book from Amazon and I am voluntarily writing a review. Sarah has always been the perfect daughter always doing what was expected of her, until the day of her wedding when she ran before getting to the alter. She realized she could not live a lie like her mother. She ends up in Maine working at a small resort helping the owner with cleaning cottages and cooking and discovering who she really is. She meets one of the regular customers Caleb who comes to hibernate and write his novel.

Sarah, Gladys, Caleb, Sarah's parents and some other unsavory forces to be reckoned with too as you will see for yourself.
I loved this one, it was more on the romance side than the overly sexy side which made it a beautiful and wonderful story. I liked the fact that Sarah ran to find out who she was and figure out what she wanted out of life instead of giving in to her parents wants. When she ran she ran right into Gladys arms and needed them more than she could imagine and then came Caleb and what happened with him with chill you, thrill you and make you want the same kinds of feelings for yourself. Great story, everyone should read this one and I plan to read the other two also.

Learning to trust and love is worth the effort
Sarah was a southern belle who was running from an arranged marriage. Her parents wanted her to marry her childhood friend to join two very wealthy families. The problem was they were friends, but definitely not in love. When she found out her father had been cheating and was told to expect the same from all men, she ran. That was not the kind of marriage she wanted.Sarah ended up in Maine at a B&B on the coast. She was befriended by the owner, who left her in charge when she had to leave to care for a sister who was ill. While at the cottages, she began to paint again and discover who she was. There was also another guest who came to the cottages every year to write. Caleb was a best selling author who wrote gory crime novels. He was moody and rude, at times, but the attraction between Caleb and Sarah was instant. Sarah had trust issues and Caleb didn't do relationships but when the two got together the fireworks were explosive. When Sarah's life was threatened, Caleb discovered that maybe there was someone he was willing to risk his heart for. Sarah discovered that she had to learn to trust again and Caleb was the man she wanted to give her trust to.I enjoyed this story. It was raw, at times, and real. I didn't particularly enjoy the descriptive sex scenes. I prefer more fade to black without the details but all of the chemistry.

Romance with suspense and danger thrown in for your enjoyment
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I love a good romance with danger and suspense thrown in for good measure. Sarah and Caleb are two lost souls who meet at Oak Cottages, in Maine. She is working there and he is staying in seclusion in order to finish his next novel. Sarah is running away from her controlling parents and an arranged marriage. He is trying to escape a tragic past. Though they seem to be an unlikely couple, we soon see they are meant for each other. The great storyline and characters with real depth made it easy to immerse myself in this book.

A sweet story
I enjoyed this book. It's a story about a young woman, Sarah, who has her life planned out by her rich parents, even to the person she is to marry. On her wedding day she runs away and ends up in a small country town.Sarah has always wanted to paint but her mother did not consider that was appropriate. Her mother forbade her from painting, so she had to do it in secret.Sarah now starts to paint and obtains a job in a bed and breakfast. Then she meets the grumpy writer and sparks fly. This is a lovely, sweet, romantic book with some dark parts.

A great book to read
A really enjoyable story about a woman who finds she cannot marry someone she doesn't really love. She manages to get away from controlling parents and finds her own way to overcome everything including lack of money. She manages to do just that and also find the man she really loves. I would recommend this book to all. Its a book to sit down with and relax with.

Engaging story
This is an enjoyable story and I look forward to reading more by this author. However there is a glaring failure of proof reading, people do not borrow something to you they lend it you are the one borrowing whatever it is.Irritating enough to fail on getting five stars as it was an error repeated throughout the story
