Defective
I was excited to get the 40 pin machine until it arrived and the box was taped up with scotch tape and when when I went to use it it made a loud popping sound and the gears kept catching. I tried different types of yarn and it was the same outcome. I’m currently in the process of returning it.

Drops stitches
This machine is not worth it for anyone trying to make a hat or scarf. It is not functional in terms of what it creates, and it dropped too many stitches to finish what I attempted to make. Can't suggest this to my worst enemy to create anything remotely related to a knitted hat.
