Q: When laying on the bed can you feel the metal slats beneath the mattress?

Absolutely not. But my mattress is very very old and I felt it made it too hard to sleep on so I got a really fluffy mattress cover and it made it perfect! I love this frame. I also recommend getting a mattress gripper. It’s a thin sheet of rubber that lays on the frame to keep the mattress from sliding. I found my mattress would be an inch or so off the side every morning.
